What Is A Good Time To Take Citalopram
I've been on citalopram 20mg for 4 months and feeling fine now. When is a good time to start tapering off, and evaluate if the meds are still needed?

Margin of error: You should try to take it the same time every day - as it is a good routine to get into and you're more likely to remember then (like brushing your teeth). However, there's a margin of error on these types of things. .. A few hours in either direction won't make a difference. Hope that helps! ...Read more
Either is fine.:
I imagine that it is would be easier to maintain the same time as always (7:45 AM) for your routine to just go on as is. And a 1 hour difference for 1 day twice a year is not going to rattle your body chemistry.
However, if you are going to be up and about eavery day until next Spring at 6:45 AM (ugh!) that wouls be the new time. No question for my life - I'd stay w/ 7:45! Take your pick. ...Read more

Will b starting celexa (citalopram) again for the 3rd time in my life over the last 2 years. Starting on 10mg. Best to take at night or morning? And how late?
Celexa (citalopram): Celexa (citalopram) can be taken in the morning or evening, depending on what your response to it is. You have this information from your previous experience. The most important thing might be to take it at the time of day (or night) you're most likely to remember to take it. Best wishes. ...Read more
Been prescribed citalopram alongside flupentixol. Are these ok to take together? Should I space out the time I take them?
OK: It is always best to ask your Doctor as he should know your full medical history and would not prescribe it if there were contra indications. This combination is not unusual, Citalopram for depression/anxiety, Flupentizol for Psychosis. Anytime you add a medication to another there could be more side effects, so you may want to take them at different times until you see how your body/mind reacts ...Read more
I have been constantly hot for a long time now, so I looked it up on the internet and found the cause, which is citalopram. What can I take as an alternative?
See your Doctor: Citalopram and other drugs in its class may cause flushing and combining it with other medications may increase the problem. Talk with your pharmacist to help resolve any drug-drug interactions. Its also important to see your physician for evaluation to rule out other causes of this problem, and then modification of your treatment accordingly. ...Read more

"I" is the catch in your question. I can't give advice to you in particular.
The answer depends on your other known conditions and the Celexa dose. For an otherwise healthy person, 30mg daily of Celexa or less plus an antihistamine at standard dose carries a low risk for heart problems. Discuss with your doctor and the pharmacist dispensing the Celexa before going forward with the combo. ...Read more

Depends: All ssri's, including citalopram (celexa), have subtle effects on cognitive function that a person may or may not notice. They reduce obsessive thinking, for example, and they also seem to reduce emotional sensitivity to some extent. Someone who is very sensitive to the criticism of others, or someone who obsesses with worry, may feel better on celexa, even if they are not depressed. ...Read more

I am on 40mg of citalopram a day is it ok for me to take 500mg flucloxacillin three times daily. I didn't want to tell my dentist I was on citalopram.
OK to Take together: You should always tell your dentist or any medical professional every medication you are taking. Dentists do not share information like that with anyone and need to know what you are taking to be sure that they do not give you something that can hurt you. Also, dentists inject medications into your body that can have a much faster reaction than a pill - we need to know! ...Read more
Is it okay to take Tylenol (acetaminophen) while taking 20 mg citalopram? Would not be taking them at the same time.
Yes: As long as you are not taking more than 3g (3, 000mg) of Tylenol (acetaminophen) a day, you should be fine with taking it at the same time as citalopram. The concern is for liver damage, which is why I would not suggest more than 3g Tylenol (acetaminophen) daily or for a prolonged period of time. ...Read more
