Abscess: Your description suggests a single follicle was involved , draining pus- likely an abscess. If there was surrounding redness, swelling, tenderness and warmth, then a cellulitis was involved. Seems like a long: time for infection to clear up. You should show it to a surgeon to make sure there are no undrained pus collections or foreign body. If you have any other conditions such as diabetes or take steroids, it is even more important. ...Read more
