What Is A Good Attention Grabber For Obesity
Could you tell me what are good questions to ask about obesity and a healthy lifestyle to a nurse?
Obesity: You can ask the nurse or just look these up on the internet. You'll want to learn some basics about food groups, what is healthy, what isn't healthy, what foods you child should be eating everyday, how much activity they should be doing. Also good to know what is considered over/under weight for your child at a given age. I have seen 240lbs 5th graders. You want to avoid that. ...Read more
I'm very unhealthy (not obese) and want to feel more energetic and fresh, what's a good way to do this?
Diet: May be the clue. Lousy fuel---lousy function. On the other hand it could be more serious and you need to get it checked out. ...Read more
Good day. Please I need information on obesity. 30 hazards of obesity syndrome. 25 therapeutic measures for obesity syndrome?
Too much: Cannot fit all that you asked for in a 400 character limit answer. In general, obesity has many bad effects on the body including putting stress on the heart, joints, and on the pancreas. The only way to make these stresses better is to improve fitness and lose weight. See your doctor and/ or dietitian for advice as to how to do this safely and effectively. ...Read more
More in than out: Unless there is a diagnosed medical condition obesity is caused by consuming more calories than are being burned off. Our diets have become very high in processed foods, especially carbohydrates and children are very sedentary as too much time is spent with electronics. Go outside and play, limit electronics, soda, fruit juice and sports drinks and processed foods. Move to whole food diet. ...Read more

Have programs: Having programs would be a good start. We successfully got children to be anti-smoking with the tobacco education in schools. Those kids go home and tell their parents to quit! We could do the same thing with obesity through exercise and healthy eating. With the public education system financially destitute, another program will be tough - needed, but tough. ...Read more
Eat less and do more: Sounds simple, I know. It's not. It is a tremendous challenge for most people who want to lose weight, and the details of what works is different for different people. But there is no magic to it. You need to take in less calories than you burn off, somehow. For most it's daily exercise and less calories. Pick one thing you can live with long term and start, like no soda, or half-size portions. ...Read more
I am looking to speaking with someone that is good with obesity I need so help on ways I can start losing weight?
Reduce weight: This is a repeat of what I have said before. My philosophy is that the best way to lose weight is not by dieting, but by changing your lifestyle to a healthier one. You don't need a drastic diet. Make small changes. Eat the right portions, eat 3-5 small meals a day, cut back on carbs and sugars, increase lean protein/veggie/fruit/water intake, and start doing some cardiovascular exercise. ...Read more
Assuming general good health. One man is obese, the other is muscular and lean-5-7% bf%. No access to food or water in a desert, who would die 1st? Y?
Interesting question: The death for both would most likely be due to lack of water. If the obesity was due to water retention (a common cause) and if the body could use the accumulated water the obese person might survive longer. If it was fat rather than water the obese would live longer in regard to hunger since he could live on his fat. I believe that water would be the vital issue. It is purely theoretical. ...Read more
Good evening :) I am wanting to know more about Duromine When I last went to the doctors I was told I'm obese and despite trying very hard with exercise and eating better food I am not losing any weight because I never know when to stop eating?
Not the answer: Duromine is not the answer. It seems like you have more of a behaviour problem which should be dealt with on a psychological level. Duromine, very effective can have some major side-effects including sleeplessness heart palpitations nervousness anxiousness and arythmias. Rather spend time with good dietician and psychologist. ...Read more
You need: To look at the mental aspect. Obesity is complex and is not just diet alone. 1. Learn to "love yourself" because emotions enter the equation. 2, get rid of all forms of sugar and sweeteners and restrict your diet only to god made food 3. Anorexia is "loss of appetite" and you cannot stop eating or drinking water---period! ...Read more

I have lost 60 lbs since mar. My liver dr says I need to slow down. I have fatty liver from obesity. How do I slow it down? I am eating good
My hair started thinning in the last two years. I am always taking good care of my hair. I am 21 years old and obese. Could obesity be the caused?
I'm obese im on liquid diet. 4 milkshakes a day. I'm on week 4. First week good loss which is to be expected. Week2 3lb but week 3&4 nothing. Why? How?
In small amounts:
Fiber, such as ground flaxseed, can be added to meals in small increments. Fiber binds to fats in the gut and slows or prevents their absorption.
Fatty liver or steatosis can lead to scarring of the liver. You may also want to decrease your saturated fat intake such as fatty red meats. ...Read more
I'm 27 years old 250lbs and 5'8 am I obese. And what's a good heart rate for my age my hr is 94 is that good?
That's a little fast: Your weight and inactivity is contributing to this. It should be much lower. As you lose weight, it will shift provided you do some cardio exercise daily. Work with your doctor to do it safely, and consistently to hit your goals. He will go over target HR, and BP so you are safe. I am obese and in my 20's. I'm thinking of getting the stomach operation. Which one is the safest and what can I do to keep the weight of for good?
Bariatric surgery: The lap band is the safest, though the bypass and sleeve are also safe if done by an experienced surgeon. There are a lot of factors that go into determining which procedure is the best for you. The operation you want to have may not be the best one for you. You will have to talk to a bariatric surgeon (that does all three procedures) to figure out which is the best for you. ...Read more
Is BMI a good way to determine proper weight? I've heard body fat % is morene accurate. A 5-6 solid muscle guy could be over 200 lbs& considered obese
Both would be best.: The BMI reflects your weight with respect to your height, but as you suggested does not reflect body composition. People who are very muscular could have a higher BMI that would not be truly reflective of their fitness and health. Combining the BMI with a body fat percentage would greatly increase its accuracy. ...Read more
Is flax oil good to help fatty liver from being obese? I am dieting and losing weight and exercising
Maybe: There are some small, I mean small studies that suggest some benefit in fatty liver disease for flaxseed oil, but it's not great. It's unlikely to harm you, but make sure you don't consume too much, as even if its good, the high caloric density can catch up with you and cause weight gain. Good luck. ...Read more
