Can dietary supplements be taken with thyroxine? I am due to start on it but am currently taking lots of supplements

Calcium, iron beware: The two substances that most commonly cause decreased stomach absorption of thyroid hormone are calcium and iron. I am taking Synthroid (thyroxine) for hypothyroid, can I take Super DMZ 2.0 dietary supplement?

I am taking Synthroid (thyroxine) for hypothyroid, can I take Super DMZ 2.0 dietary supplement?

Use a good whey protein as supplement right after working out. Many in the market. Weight lift first then a small 20 min aerobic. ...Read more

That's silly: Forgive my frankness. This is news to me after 40 years in medicine and I traced it to a phony "natural healing" doctor-bashing scare website. You do best to take thyroid hormone replacement on an empty stomach and waiting a while maybe 30 minutes before eating, but you were probably told that when it was prescribed. It's of minor importance. Best wishes. ...Read more
