They are loosely associated with stroke and dementia. However, at 38 years of age I would not think your white spots are cause of your symptoms and am surprised you have them. They could be serious. MS or not MS?: Iit is hard to find the cause of a symptom of tingling. The changes on your MRI could be related to your symptoms. When the LP is negative, it does not mean you do not have MS, but one must consider other causes, such as a virus of some kind, or other medical illnesses. It may help you to have some symptomatic treatment of your symptoms, maybe a nerve conduction study and a follow up mri. ...Read more
