What If Your Heart Rate Is Too High
My husband says my heart rate is too high, since it rests at about 90-100. Is it normal, if not how can I fix it? I'm not an excerciser type person, I don't have the stamina for it.

How can you determine if your blood pressure is high or low when checked and if your heart rate is normal?

Yes: Responsiveness to physiologic need is a sign of health. Going up quickly is normal assuming you're not going from 80 to 240! but if you go from 80 to 120 (the exact numbers depend on age) and then come back down quickly with rest, you're very healthy! Deconditioned: There are things which can cause the hr to go up such as the thyroid and the heart itself. At your age, and if you have not bee diagnosed with anything it is most likely deconditioned state. Reconditioning may mean to advance activities a little bit slower. Tachycardia: Exposure to heat dilates the blood vessels and lowers the blood pressure enough to cause a rise in the heart rate, but 150-170 would be abnormally rapid. 220-age = Max: You are achieving your maximal heart rate which isn't necessarily bad but also not additionally beneficial.
