What does it mean if I see streaming lights when my eyes are closed?

What does it mean if I see streaming lights when my eyes are closed?

After images: Depends what is meant by streaming. There are all sorts of after-images that can be seen with eyes closed depending on what was being looked at and how bright those objects or lights were. Intrinsic light phenomena or entoptics can be caused by light diffusing through the lids, by migraine visual episodes, and by vitreous gel tugging on the retina, just to name a few. However, some viruses can escape and live in the body in various locations. E.G. Hiv can live in host white blood cells, herpes/chicken pox (varicella) viruses hide in nerve tissue. Hepatitis lives in liver, & virus is shed in blood. ...Read more

In older men, 50yo above, it can be simply bigger prostate then normal [and always also harder instead of being really really soft and not squeezing onto the ureter]. ...Read more
