Not that I know of: unless they are testing for caffeine, which would rarely, if ever, be done. However, the label says that the ingredients are "proprietary" which means they don't have to tell you everything that is in it. However, I have never seen any reports of false positives secondary to any kind of tea. In any case, false positives on screening tests can be ruled out with confirmatory tests. ...Read more
Yes and yes: All women produce ketones more easily during pregnancy. Ketones result when body fats are broken down for energy instead of sugar. So ketosis & diabetic ketoacidosis or DKA can occur more rapidly in women w/diabetes when they are pregnant. Ketones cross the placenta & affecdt the fetus. As far as I know,: the only food that can cause positive results in urine (and other) drug testing is poppy seeds. This is actually not a false positive, because poppy seeds do contain very tiny amounts of a chemical related to morphine, papaverine, which is metabolized into morphine.
