I'm curious as to what can happen if you get blood in your eyes?

Blood in your eye: Treatment for blood in your eyes depends on the location of the blood. If there is blood only on the surface of your eyes, then no treatment is needed. However, it could take up to 2 weeks for the blood to go away. Conversely, if there is blood inside your eyes, then treatment is often needed and this should be followed closely by your ophthalmologist.

Why would I get blood shot eyes after wearing my contacts?

Why would I get blood shot eyes after wearing my contacts?

Dryness: Soft contact lenses are a "barrier" to oxygen permeability of the cornea. Wearing poorly fitted contacts, wearing contacts for too many hours in the day, sleeping in contacts, not changing contacts regularly can all lead to dryness and poor oxygen delivery to the cornea. Dryness and poor oxygen delivery can lead to red, irritated eyes.

When I get sick my eyes get blood shot why?

When I get sick my eyes get blood shot why?

Infection response: With upper respiratory infection, the conjunctival blood vessel dilate to bring in more blood and thus defend the eye. So even if you have no infection in your eyes they may turn red when you get a cold. With other infections like urinary tract the eyes should not get red.

Why is there blood in the corner of my eye. How to get rid of it?

Why is there blood in the corner of my eye. How to get rid of it?

Time: This sounds like a subconjunctival hemorrhage which occurs on the normally white part of the eye and is harmless. It just takes time to resolve like a bruise under your skin - possibly 2 - 3 weeks. Blood thinners including Aspirin can cause these to be more frequent. See your ophthalmologist if you are worried.

My friend's eyes get tired easily and his blood sugar is high. Who should he see?

My friend's eyes get tired easily and his blood sugar is high. Who should he see?

A diabetic Dr.: This sounds like a form of diabetes. Depending on your age and clinical history, it could be type I or ii, with type ii devewloping in older people. A good internal medicine dr. Or an endocrinologist dr. Would be a great start in ascertaining what this could be, through history and clinical tests.

I get sudden eye pressure and tire/sleep feeling at random points in the day. I have taken my blood pressure when this happens its normal.

Eye pressure: Feeling of sudden eye pressure can be due to (most common to least): dry eye/tear film unstable; one is starting to get sick or virus/bacteria starting to invade sinuses; headache/migraine; narrow angle; high eye pressure; rarely: inflammation in eye; eye infection; tumor in or around eye; more info: eyedoc2020@blogspot. Is there anything I can get from the grocery store or drug store for my blood shot eyes until I can see a doctor?

Depends: If the eyes are red (looking in the mirror) and have no other symptoms you need do nothing. If it is hemorrhage under the conjunctiva, nothing will work - it will absorb by itself. If infectious or allergic redness, then an anti-allergic drop like zaditor (ketotifen) might help. An ophthalmologist can determine if it is infectious and whether you need an anti-biotic.
