How come i always feel like i'm sweating to death when i go to sleep after drinking jagermesiter mixed with monster energy drink? Is it dangerous?
Only if ingested: The monster has a considerable amount of stimulant like components like caffeine and i believe taurine. The jag has a noradrenergic component i suspect that also encourages agitation and sympathetic hyperarousal. They both then together cause a fight or flight reaction chemically - with elevated heart rate, sweating, insomnia, racing thoughts, and - combined with alcohol - disinhibition(be stupid). ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

If : If you do not have physical or emotional symptoms that may be interfering with sleep such as pain, restless sensation in the legs, soreness or anxiety about something i would recommend these behavioral interventions: aim to finish your exercise routine by 5 pm avoid bright lights as well as tv, computer screens 2 hours before sleep listen to a calm podcast/music/meditation track/nature sounds and/or read a book until you feel sleepy. Do not actually lie down in bed until you are feeling sleepy in order to avoid tossing and turning without sleep. If you cannot fall asleep in 20-30 minutes, get up, switch to the sofa/armchair and read/listen to music until you feel sleepy again. Avoid getting on the internet at that point (too stimulating+light exposure). If there are thoughts going through your mind, given yourself 10 minutes in the evening to write them down. If in addition to insomnia, you feel depressed, irritable or experiencing bursts of energy/productivity, i would advise that you see a psychiatrist as insomnia may be part of a psychiatric condition that warrants further evaluation and treatment. Take care. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I'm 23 and I'm going to be working my first night shift, any suggestions on sleep and food and drinks to keep me awake but not energy drinks or coffee?
Will depend on your : sleep/ear cycle since that will determine your energy level needed for your night shift. Get a good 7-8 night sleep during the day using black blinds/eye shields. Then decide whether you need to eat a meal in the middle of your shift versus snacking. Organic protein bar is great to give you stamina. Organic raw nuts, fruit is good. Also, a green smoothie with raw cacao and raw grapseeed flour. ...Read more

I had too many energy drinks...Im very tired but can't stop my mind moving. I need sleep. What should I do?
Energy drinks: I would let your body metabolize the stimulant you've already ingested and avoid energy drinks/caffeine for a while. Eventually it will get out of your system and you'll be able to sleep. Take this as a learning experience as too many energy drinks can cause even more severe symptoms. I see several in the er every year. ...Read more
Can on get heart problems due to taking to many diet pills and not sleeping well and mixing with energy drinks sometimes?
I had an exam and was very stressed I drank 3 energy drinks to stay awake. After I finished my exam i took sleeping pill and next day had bleeding spot?
Not sure what you: mean by a "bleeding spot." I will assume you are talking about "spotting," which usually means small amounts of blood in between periods. I don't think it has anything to do with using the energy drinks (which isn't a good idea either) or the sleeping pill . Spotting frequently occurs in women on oral contraceptives if the estrogen is in very low dose. If this continues, would see your GYN. ...Read more
