What is the best filler for lip injections?

Permanent augmentation with implants such as permalip are reasonable in the right circumstances - as are fat and smas implants. Best to seek the advice of a facial plastic surgeon. Do you think I should I have a juvederm injection on my lips?

Do you think I should I have a juvederm injection on my lips?

Juvederm: I use both injectable fillers and fat grafting to the lips to give them a fuller, softer appearance. Hyaluronic acids such as Juvederm and Restylane (dermal fillers) temporarily plump the lips and can last approximately six months to a year depending on the filler. Fat grafts are obtained from a patient's own fat through liposuctioning areas such as the inner thighs or abdomen and carefully injecting in the lips. ...Read more

A friend of mine had a lip injection put in 2 years ago.Now there are small lip bumps and discoloration of lips, but no pain. What might be the possible causes?

That depends...: ...Entirely on what substance was injected. Medical grade fillers like Restylane (dermal fillers) and juvederm dissolve within 3-6 months. Some of the longer-lasting fillers, e.g. Calcium hydroxylapatite, can cause lumps, which is why they are not supposed to be used in the lips. Ditto liquid silicone, which can cause permanent lumps. Your friend will have to find out what it was from whoever did the injecting. ...Read more

Lip burning on top of lips since trimmed it with trimmer it’s worrying me I had lip injections last year and possibly over stretched my lips ?

Several points.: There are several possibilities which depend strongly on what was done. First, depends on the artificiality of the ingredient. Infection from the trimming is conceivable EVEN WITHOUT ANYTHING THERE. Infection is worse if it is plastic, less if hyaluronic acid. Reaction to the material more if artificial. Shifting can occur and hit a nerve (REALLY RARE). Swelling can make it feel funny.

Do lip injections cause your lips to sag and wrinkle if you stop getting them done?

Not exactly.: Your lips do sag and wrinkle as you age; that's a basic reality. Injecting fillers will conceal at least some of that sagging and wrinkling, temporarily. If you stop getting the filler, and you're no longer concealing the sagging and wrinkling, your lips will look saggy and wrinkly - not because of the injections, but because you're no longer concealing the normal aging process. ...Read more
