Can't really know. : Tracking your cycles and watching your mucus are both good methods of determining your ovulation, but if you want to add some science to the situation, you can buy fertility tests. There are individual test strips that monitor the lh level in your urine. When it spikes (+), you will know that you are going to ovulate in 24-48 hours. No: Progesterone production begins in your ovary when you ovulate. This hormone causes cervical mucous to thicken, appear cloudier and be less "stretchy". I suspect this is what you are noticing. Need more info: The vaginal secretion you get during sexual activity or by masturbation should not change. The secretion will dry up when your estrogen level drops as you age. The secretion is produced by the glands in your vagina that are stimulated by sexual activity. Mild vaginal fluid may be normal without sex but a lot of discharge is abnormal and needs a doctor's attention. ...Read more
