Muscle Pain: If this pain is reproducable with movement, then it is most likely muscle-related. The left flank is a strange place for a muscle strain, though. If you've been chopping wood or moving furniture, then i could understand some under-used muscles now being painful. Try some local heat and advil (ibuprofen) to see if those help. ...Read more

Stretch and Ice the area. If this does not resolve you should see your doctor for other options.
