What Happens If You Take Ambien And Stay Awake
Accidentally took Ambien CR this morning. Can't believe it. How do I handle a mistake like this safely? Can I try to stay awake for work?
The best thing to do: Is not to drive anywhere or to handle dangerous equipment until sedation has worn off. These things can happen - just need to keep yourself safe until you are more awake.
Just took 1 mg lunesta (eszopiclone). I have no more lunesta (eszopiclone) but have 5mg of ambien. I am still awake can I take the 5mg of lunesta (eszopiclone)?
Sleeping Pills: Lunesta (eszopiclone) 1 mg is a starting low dose. It sounds like its not strong enough for you. Ambian 5 mg is also a starting low dose. It goes up to 10 mg. This answer comes an hour after you asked the question, so hopefully you're sound asleep! If not, its okay to take the 5 mg Ambian. But recommend just taking one of those at an effective dose, not both for longer use. Add Ashwagandha 500 mg.See 1 more doctor answer
I take Ambien (zolpidem) to sleep at night. I have been taking it for 3 months now. I took it at 9:30pm I'm still awake. It's 12:15am. Why can't I fall asleep?
Maybe not as effect.: You may be becoming sensitized meaning it will not work as good. You need to discuss with your doctor other options.See 1 more doctor answer

I had a large ischenic stroke 2years ago I can't dream or feel awake during day is Ambien (zolpidem) safe to take? On it I get to sleep but feel unrefreshed the ne
No: These meds have similar use and taking them together could be too sedating. Do not take together!!!
Depends: Both are significant chemicals that would be indicated for insomnia and pain. However, please discuss with your physician your concern. It is important that your physician be aware of the medications and any herbal, otc you take. In the appropriate situation, there is a low concern for difficulty. And, we are going after the cause, not just the symptom.See 1 more doctor answer
Less effective: It's possible the medication may be less effective.See 1 more doctor answer
Ambien (zolpidem) -- how many?: Ambien (zolpidem) (or zolpodem) comes in 5mg and 10mg tablet strengths. Ambien (zolpidem) cr (controlled release) is available in 6.25mg and 12.5 mg tablet strengths. Most commonly, Pts are rx'ed one tab of whichever strength their doc thinks best, right before bedtime. However, it's most important that you follow the instructions your doc gave about how, exactly, to take your ambien (zolpidem). If unsure, give a call :)
Flexeril/Ambien: Some added sedation, otherwise ok.Get a more detailed answer ›
Just one. . .: You only need to take one too many pills to overdose. Heck, it's dangerous if you take even just one pill that's not prescribed for you. So don't do it! If you think you need more or something different, then ask your prescribing doc.
Possibly: If you're using the regular immediate release ambien, (zolpidem) cutting a pill in half and using it is possible. It's not recommended with Ambien (zolpidem) cr (controlled release), though. Controlled release or xr medications have a special coating that allows them to be released over time, in different parts of your GI system. Cutting the pill breaks this coating, and then you no longer have "controlled release.".
Ambien (zolpidem): Not used for youngsters below 18 years of age.See 1 more doctor answer
