What does it mean when you have low vitamin d? Where do we get vitamin d?

What does it mean when you have low vitamin d? Where do we get vitamin d?

Low vitamin D: Hi. Humans make our own vitamin D if we get adequate sunlight exposure; we live and work indoors, and few of us can make enough on our own. Milk is fortified with vitamin D...and cod liver oil...if you're into that sort of thing. Vitamin D3 supplements are cheap and work perfectly; they are fat-soluble vitamins, and best taken with a meal. Good luck! ...Read more

I have low vitamin D is that why there's a faint line on a pregnancy test it's happened before like that?

I have low vitamin D is that why there's a faint line on a pregnancy test it's happened before like that?

No effect: your vitamin D level should not have any effect on your pregnancy test results. I would not expect for vitamin D to have any interaction with your excretion of beta hCG, which is the protein that is picked up by the urine test. ...Read more

Please explain what it means when u have low vitamin d?

Please explain what it means when u have low vitamin d?

Vitamin D: Low vitamin d it is below about 20. Research shows that raising your vitamin d level can boost immunity, elevate mood, and more. The darker your skin, the lower vitamin d can be because we make it through the sun on our skin. About 60% of whites in us are low, about 75% latino low, and maybe 85-90% african americans low. Experts say between 50-80 is optimal. 20s or 30s is minimal. ...Read more

What exactly does it mean to have low vitamin d that won't go up, and what more can I do?

Take more!: I have no idea how much vit d you are taking but most adults need to take 5-8, 000 iu/day to achieve optimal levels and if you're low it is safe and reasonable to try 10, 000 iu/day. Only take d3, not d2. It's best to take with 5-10, 000 iu of vit a and 1 mg of vit k too as they work as a team. Can you tell me what can it mean when u have low vitamin d?

Can you tell me what can it mean when u have low vitamin d?

Inflammation: Low vitamin d has always been thought to be generally related to low sun exposure. A recent study suggests that it may represent something more concerning such as inflammation that can lead to more serious illness. The same study showed that treating the low vit. Why do so many people have low vitamin d levels?

Ask your doc if: you can take 5K IUs of D3, once daily. You can find it in the health food store. Your D3 is very low and this can raise it. Look for an optimal lab reading of between 50 & 80. That's what the D experts suggest. Peace and good health. ...Read more
