What Happens If You Get Water In Ear With Hole In Eardrum
Water in the ear:
Sometimes, nothing happens. Often, it is uncomfortable since water does not feel good when it's in the middle ear. It's kind of like water going up your nose.

Friend thought had ear infection. Mixed water and neosporin. Put dropper deep in ear as far can go. Filled quarter way and put all in the ear. What happens if neosporin got deep in ear or past eardrum?
Perforation worry: Sticking anything in the ear is a no-no. I'd be worried about perforation of the eardrum. Get to a physician for further evaluation. If eardrum not perforated, the neosporin and water likely not going to cause a problem. If a middle ear infection, likely not going to help either. Might for otitis externa (of the canal). Get an exam by a doctor. ...Read more

No: Your eardrum will not rupture. Don't worry - the water will clear from your ears. My gf has impacted wax. She also believes that water in her ear will cause the eardrum to burst. She had many ear infections and tubes as a child?
Common problem: Impacted wax can be dissolved by drops available over the counter at most supermarkets or pharmacies. W hen these are too slow, the wax can be removed under direct vision by an ENT. I have also cleaned this out using a water pic, and this does not "rupture" the drum. She can either get this fixed or deal with the poor hearing. Her choice. ...Read more

How can I cure my ear drum has a hole and water will fill it easily and infection will follow through?
Avoid water in ear: A hole in an ear drum (perforated tympanic membrane) will normally heal on its own. It is very important to not allow water to get into an ear with a perforated eardrum. Depends: If you continue to put otc drops or get water in the ear canal you can eventually push in some germs that will cause problems. The pain from the drops is expected.
