Do you have to drink water with haylanuric acid? Will it dehydrate you if you don't like creatine supplements?
How long does it take to get hydrated once you drink enough water? And how much water should one drink if dehydrated?
A few minutes: Water alone is not the best way to hydrate when dehydrated. A sports drink is actually better as the sugar and electrolytes in it promote hydration at the cellular level. If one is participating in sports such as running or cycling, its best to consume a high quality sports drink such can be found at hammer nutrition, but gatorade works fine. In terms of how much to drink, your body can usually regulate water intake very well. A general guideline is to consume about 500ml of a sports drink for 1 hour of cycling for example. ...Read more

In general most people who are inactive need 1gm/kg of protein a day. Illness and other energy consuming factors can change the body's energy need ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Why would you?: It probably wouldn't hurt you (depends on the size of person drinking it). It replaces electrolytes, so someone with normal functioning kidneys would be able to appropriately deal with the consumed electrolytes. In my opinion, pedialyte is rather expensive and doesn't taste so good. I would try something else (gatorade?). ...Read more

I'm a 24 year old man, healthy, and have been taking a preworkout formula that contains Creatine. It's been working great, however I just want to confirm it's safe? I drink plenty of water, take the minimum amount, and occasionally have alcohol
I took some creatine this morning and my body feels Hot I keep drinking water. I'm also a little nervous and having anxiety?
Not enough info but: Generally speaking, creatine itself is not known to increase body temperature and cause one to feel "hot". If you are taking a product that contains creatine in addition to other supplements, perhaps one or more of the other compounds may be the issue. Furthermore, I would recommend only Creapure creatine monohydrate. Don't fall for all the other creatines with useless bells and whistles. ...Read more
My kidney area(or kidney) would sometimes pulse. I have used creatine but been off of it for about a year . I drink plenty of water. Causes?
More likely muscular: If by "kidney area" you mean mid-back to one side or the other, i would think that it is more likely that you're feeling symptoms related to the musculature of the back, e.g., muscle spasm, than due to the kidney. Kidney's can hurt, when swollen or inflamed, e.g., when infected, but this is less likely to be an intermittent problem. A simple urine test can rule out infection. ...Read more

Gastritis/gallbladder issues. pain in gut. labs show BUN 28 ,Creatine Bun ratio 30.30.told to drink water. should i worry? Gallbladder surgery soon.
Would not worry. Likely due or dehydration as most people do not drink enough fluids. If other labs like creatinine alone are OK( which it appears to be as BUN is 28 and the ratio is 30 so creatinine has to be < 1 ) and liver functions are OK , don't worry . BUN is slightly higher in older individuals. . Good luck with surgery.

Can I take creatine, adderall, (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) and Accutane together? I drink a lot of water and workout everyday. I play football and baseball.
Not advisable: While there are no contraindications to these drugs combined, it is not a great idea to stress your kidneys so much. Accutane can cause kidney problems as can creatine, so combining the two will likely increase the risk, even if you drink a lot of fluids. I'd talk to your doctor, but I would also tell you to avoid the creatine if you were my patient. ...Read more
Can I take creatine, adderall, (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) and Accutane at the same time? I drink a lot of water already for sports. I play football and baseball/workout.
Not Recommended: As a pediatrician I need to caution you about the use of creatine - we still don't know what the potential long-term effects are. It is really discouraged in growing teens. Taking the combination you mentioned puts a lot of stress on your kidneys, even if you are drinking "plenty" of water. ...Read more
