My son 4 poked himself in the eye today with a small sharp peice of plastic wire no marks or blood, if it penetrated would I know? Would it bleed?
Not neccessarily: I would be be much happier as an ophthalmologist if the child was screaming or complaining. Corneal abrasions hurt. Injuries to the white of the can be painful or not. Penetrating injuries even with a piece of plastic that is described as ""sharp" cause me great concern about potential puncture wounds that can be devastating. The child needs urgent evaluation by a child friendly ophthalmologist. ...Read more

Minor or serious: It could be minor with no injury at all, or more serious. In this disease, the basement membrane of the cornea is damaged, usually from a prior trauma that did not heal correctly. In the wee hours of the morning when your eye is moving under closed lids, the epithelium overlying the damaged basement membrane becomes loose and a defect forms, giving you pain and tearing. There are many different treatments for this. Please see your ophthalmologist

No: Nothing's impossible, but the eye is very well attached in the orbit, by both the optic nerve, 6 extraocular muscles and multiple soft tissue attachments. It take significant trauma to forcefully remove an eye. If by "poking your eye out" you mean just penetrating it or rupturing it, this is more plausible, but would still require significant force. ...Read more

Probably not related: As there aren't any anatomical relations between your sexual organs and your eye, they are probably not directly related.
