You might have: significant dry eyes or contact lens "over wear". Try artificial tears and shorten the period that you wear the contact lenses. Contacts don't allow your corneas to breathe well, which causes them to become irritated, giving you a burning sensation. Let your eye doctor know that the contacts are causing you some issues so they can recommend the appropriate solution. Be well. ...Read more

I have a very sharp pain in my left eye socket, but only when i shake my head or move it fast. Should i see a doctor? What could cause that?
Whats wrong with my eye.. What should I do? I've been having a sharp pain whenever i blink with my right eye since yesterday
The : The ocular surface (including the cornea) has many nerve endings. If the surface cells are disrupted (as in an abrasion of the cornea, the presence of a foreign body, or an infection) pain can result. The reason you are feeling this with blinking is because your lid is likely moving across this injured part of the eye surace. The pain will not go away until this injury goes away. (an analogous situation would be if you scraped your knee on concrete. It would certainly hurt if you rubbed it.) you should present to your local eye doctor if possible as they will be able to provide a proper diagnoses and treatment. Thanks you. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Okay so I know headaches mean different things so if I have a headach behind my left eye what would that be? My eye feels bruised.
Depends: Lots of people have "retro-orbital" pain. It's common in migraines. So it could be nothing, or it could be a tumor or aneurysm growing behind your eye. The "bruised" feeling is most likely just your brain's interpretation of this particular pain. Also depends on whether it's new or not. But a definitive answer should come from your doctor, not this website. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

The diagnosis can be challenging, so the eye-md is your best choice. ...Read more

See your eye doctor: you may need to have your eyelid flipped inside out to remove the foreign body or eyelash stuck there. If you've already tried rinsing your eye out with no luck under irrigating tap water with your hand serving as a little cup while the water rinses your eye, then it's time. You can also use lubricating ointment on that eye, and see if it can be relieved that way too. See a doctor soon! ...Read more
