Hx of endometriosis, ovarian cysts and removal of left ovary. During last surgery, right ovary was stitched to uterus, w/o consent. Can it be tested that eggs are getting to fallopian tubes?

Segmental lack muscl: Segmental absence of colonic musculature is congenital and is usually diagnosed in childhood. It can be associated with constipation and also spontaneous perforation which is when it is diagnosed. Why is its better to remove the entire ovary , why removal of the cyst test is not accurate for pathologic diagnosis?
WHat did your doc sa: Depends on what type of cyst it is, how big it is, whether it is sus for cancer or precancer does it look like it has consumed the entire ovary, i would have all your ?S answerd to your satisfaction before surg- that is what i always do with my pts so speak with your doc again before surgery! ...Read more

Not a problem: Of course you don't want both ovaries removed at age 38 as that could harm your heart and bones. Cysts at age 38 are most commonly benign and doctor can perform a "cystectomy" rather than an "oophrectomy". Remove just the cyst if it causes pain or is of concern for the doctor, and leave the rest of the ovary. Very possible: Removing endometriomas can decrease the ovarian reserve and lower amh. The surgery can remove more ovarian tissue containing eggs than intended. We are much more cautious about surgery today. Best wishes. ...Read more
