What is treatment for latisimus strain? Pain has been recurring for 4 months now.

Test, avoid sports: Due to the chronic nature of your problem I think you will require some physical therapy the fact that the injury has not resolved over 4 months tells me you are likely doing something either at work or play that is exacerbating the problem or at least preventing it from going away.

Knee Pain: If the knee continues to bother you again, then you should see an orthopedic doc for xrays and an evaluation. Simple enough. Defintely ice and take NSAIDs but they will not provide an answer.

Why is it so difficult to get back into physical activity ex: Pilates after a long time of no structured exercise? It's so much strain and tiring!

Out of shape: If u haven't been active recently w/ daily exercise it may take some time (couple of weeks) for your aerobic capacity to improve to the point where it becomes more"easy" for you. Be patient and try to exercise @ least 20-25 min. 3-4 days / wk for the next month. If u can maintain this regimen or even increase the # or duration of your workouts u will find them "easier". ... And more fun!

Quiver after cardio: It sounds like you get muscle fatigue with your cardio work out which is common. Make sure you drink plenty of water and have a protein shake or drink about 30 mind after your work out, this will help your muscles recover faster. Make sure you stretch out and do a warm up and cool down during your routine.

Why is exercise good for your lungs if it makes them strain extra hard?

Why is exercise good for your lungs if it makes them strain extra hard?

Exercise is good: For "conditioning" your heart and lungs, but it depends on how hard you are straining yourself. Remember there is always such things as too much of a good thing. Strain the heart and lungs too much and you can suffer undesirable consequences.

Physical Therapy: You may want to consider contacting a physical therapist to help you get started. YouTube is also a good source of instructional videos about physical therapy. It is probably best however of you get a formal diagnosis first, and I would consider seeing an orthopedic surgeon for a more complete evaluation before starting a formal program. Hope this helps!

Water, water: In eating healthy and exercising you might have lost enough fluid to both make the loss quite high and the bowels constricted. Be careful to drink ~1/2 gal/day. For now, a gentle laxative might help - or better - prunes, warm lemon water, etc. Try not to strain, hopefully an OTC pain med will clear the headache. It's not likely migraine.

Can you tell me how to know when a calf strain is healed and resume exercise?

Can you tell me how to know when a calf strain is healed and resume exercise?

Time: Most calf 'strains' involve the medial head of the gastrocnemius muscle group. Most commonly injured in middle age ( (30-55). Usually takes minimum of 6 weeks for these to heal (depending on severity). Time generally heals this injury (along w/ nsaids, heel lift etc). Start walking first w/o lift, then fast walk, then jog. When u can run w/ minimal discomfort your calf strain should be healed. Gl!

Inner hip muscle badly strained because upper right glute not firing. Tried burpees made it worse. Glute exercise suggestions?

Ouch: If you have a strained groin burpees are gonna hurt! I'm not sure I know what you mean by glutes not firing. If you want to strengthen the glutes squats and lunges are good but WAIT til the groin is better-at least 2 weeks. In the meantime water exercises, Pilates or yoga.
