What Does Tsh Level Of 14 Mean
Normal: Hi. At face value and in the vast majority of cases, that TSH represents normal thyroid fountain; the one exception would be pituitary disease. That's why we endocrinologists always get a TSH and a free T4. But in the VAST majority of cases, TSH alone is OK, and yours is good and normal. To your health! ...Read more
Maybe nothing?: Igm is a type of antibody you make to help fight infections. Slightly low igm by itself may not mean anything (i.e., your nature level). If it is very low, or other antibodies are also low (or not functioning), it may be a sign of immune deficiency that can lead to more infections. If you have ?S, see a clinical immunologist. They can help determine if your immune system is functioning properly. ...Read more
?????: There is a system called the tropical cyclone warning signals (or typhoon signals) used to describe threat level or effect of a cyclone. It is an 8 level system. Having lived in asia for 7 years, couldn't figure out what you were talking about. Tried to research what a typhoon level 14 was – couldn't find anything. ...Read more
Low thyroid: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, The level is just above the level that is considered indicative of thyroid deficiency. Did you also have free T4 test done, if so what was the result? It would be prudent to see your doctor as you may need thyroid medication. ...Read more
Low or high?: Tsh is usually the best indicator of thyroid status, so that an abnormal tsh, even with normal T3 (liothyronine) and t4, usually indicates some degree of thyroid dysfunction (low TSH seen w/ overactive thyroid; high TSH w/ underactive thyroid). T3 (liothyronine) really has to interpreted with knowledge of other tests and any thyroid meds being taken. ...Read more

More workup: Currently, it points to hyperthyroidism but you need to complete the work up to know for sure. At the very least, i would repeat the TSH along with the free hormones T4 and t3 (liothyronine). If they also point to hyperthyroidism, then proceed further to find the exact cause for this. Tsh alone does not give you a complete picture. ...Read more
By itself nothing: Cortisol levels are drawn to rule Cushing's / Addison's in or out. Random salivary / urinary / 24 hour urinary / blood levels must be interpreted in light of your clinical picture. Addison's is typically diagnosed when cortisol won't rise appropriately in response to ACTH stimulation; Cushing's etc. when it won't suppress with dexamethasone. I hope this helps. ...Read more
My TSH level is 9.1, what does it means? do i have hyper or hypo thyroid? & my ESR level is 60, does this ESR level came high becoz of high TSH level?

However, the suspected hyperthyroidism needs to be confirmed with high levels of T3 (liothyronine) and free t4. All lab tests need to be evaluated in the clinical context and it would be prudent to take up the issue with your doctor. ...Read more
