Get checked: Any boil always makes me think of MRSA infection these days especially if there is a lot of pain. At your age you must factor in any underlying health issues like diabetes or impaired immune system. I would have this checked very soon especially if you develop fever and body aches. http://www. I.Had a boil whit no pus head it was a normal boil. It went down but left a hard lil bump under skin can boils do that it feel like a hard lil pea?

Yes, it can happen: After a boil heals up, there can be some scar tissue at the site. The firm bump is the scar, and it should soften and get smaller over the coming months. Sometimes there is some dead cells and other "foreign" material there that will dry up and come out (as in a comedone) by itself. In a few cases, the material forms a "cyst" and needs to be cut out by a surgeon. ...Read more

I noticed when I wipe after I pee, there is a boil like spot down there. Looks like it has a white head. On it. Could it be a boil.

Boil: It could be a "boil" or an inflamed cyst. Apply warm compresses multiple times daily and avoid exercise while you have it. Friction and heat can cause these to flare up. If very painful see md for antibiotics to bring down the swelling. Boils are infections but in this area they are not usually from an infection but rather just from inflammation. ...Read more

I accidently scratched myself now I have a boil its bigger then a quarter n very red very painful no head on it how can I help it open it to drain?

Seek treatment: If it is already the size of a quarter and very red and very painful you may well have an abscess. The longer you wait to try to get it to drain the larger it will get. The infection can spread both locally and enter your blood in the meantime. Furthermore, the longer you wait, if it does not drain on its own you will need a larger incision, have more discomfort and require a longer healing time. ...Read more

My 6 month old daughter has a boil on her bottom but it hasn't come to a head yet. It is causing her a lot of pain. What can I do to make it go away?

Hard to say: If you can get the kid to accept a warm compress in the area it will sometimes bring this to a head. However, it is almost impossible to do in that location and you will need to go in anyway. Sometimes abx can help but most will need to be opened and drained. Depending on the location this could originate from a hair follicle or a fistula from the intestine near the anus requiring surgery. ...Read more

I've had a boil for over 2 months inner inner thigh. Grows, recedes a bit, grows more etc; never comes to a head. Exercising daily. Purplish in colour?

See a phyisician: Could be folliculitis, which could be constantly irritated with your daily exercise--i would start with topical antibiotic and a bandaid. Also, change your exercise habits for a bit to reduce the friction between the legs (for instance, biking might be better than running). If it does not get any better, see a physician--may need oral antibiotics, or it could be more than just a boil. ...Read more
