What Does The Fetus Look Like At 7 Weeks
Google it: Why don't you go to www. Google. Com and type in 7 week fetus and then look under images. That will get you a lot farther than any description I can provide. On ultrasound at 7 weeks it looks like a shadowy grey tube with 4 little arm buds, a yolk sac and maybe one can see an amniotic sac as well. ...Read more
Can you still miscarry the fetus if you hear a heart beat of 143 at seven weeks one day and were measuring exactly right?
Yes: Miscarriages can occur at any time in the first trimester due to most likely genetic malformations. ...Read more
Could I be pregnant? Or is this normal pms? Seven years ago I had my tubes tied with this last year I was pegnanat and lost the fetus, well over the last two months I have experinced quizziness in the am, rounding and harding of mid-section, I did start m
You have already had one pregnancy after your tubal ligation, therefore it is safe to assume that your tubes recanulized (reconnected). You should take a pregnancy test. Otherwise see your doctor since it is not normal to feel like you are "dying". This definitely warrants further evaluation.
Good luck. ...Read more
In early pregnancy, is the fetal pole the same thing as an embryo? When should u see an embryo? What does it look like?
Early ultrasound: By about 6 weeks a fetal pole, also known as an early embryo, is visible with a heart beat on vaginal ultrasound. It looks like a grain of rice or a jelly bean at first--a white/grey blob with a flicker! ...Read more
Should see more: At seven weeks you should see a yolk sac and fetal pole. Cardiac activity also should be visible. If your dates are off a bit then everything can be off. Wait one to two weeks and see what happens ...Read more
Are fetal defects such as cleft hands detected through an anomaly scan? Had scan 8w ago all good now my baby's hand look like lobster claw on us pics
Anatomy survey: Is typically performed between 18 and 22 weeks gestational age. At that time, the fetal anatomy has developed well enough to detect most anomalies. The arms, legs, hands and feet are typically part of a routine anatomy survey, so abnormalities should be identified at that time. ...Read more
Maybe but not likely:
You have to understand that the usual way to date is weeks from the menstrual period, which is presumed (but not always)2 weeks from conception. But, if a good ultrasound is done and the first third of pregnancy, it should be accurate to within 5 days, not 2 weeks off! If within 5 days, they way still go by the menstrual period or probable date of conception... Talk to your ob!
hope this helps. ...Read more
Yes :-): That's a great, and interesting question. Having performed hundred of ultrasounds at this gestational age, I have to say, they pretty much all look alike. Unfortunately the magnification abilities of most ultrasounds are limited, so even if they looked different I wouldn't necessarily be able to detect. Interesting question though! ...Read more
Fetal weight: An estimated fetal weight of 1500 gm at 30 weeks sounds normal. The estimate is done by ultrasound and usually comes with a percentile. Between 10 and 90 percentitles are considered normal. ...Read more
Concerning: It could be your dates are off or the baby is growing correctly. A repeat evaluation in 2 weeks will be able to tell. ...Read more
A 3.5 mm crl would indicate a fetal gestational age of 5wks 6dys. Since clinical estimates of dates are frequently a bit off this is not a big deal. It probably was a little early to clearly see fetal heart activity. A repeat scan in 2 weeks that shows appropriate interval growth and definite fetal heart activity will confirm fetal life and the earlier dates.
Good luck! ...Read more
Possibly: Yes there are some experts who can do that but I would not place a 100% reliability at that stage. ...Read more
? Question?: Not sure exactly what this question comes from, but a well timed ultra sound is very accurate in determining the fetal age. Good luck to you. ...Read more
Isn't a 12 wk u/s accurate within 5-7 days? Don't the fetus measurements vary slightly and would show a difference of 11 days?
5 days either way: The error is plus or minus 5 days. So at 12 weeks the range is one of 11 days. Earlier ultrasounds are more accurate. If the ultrasound was done between 6 and 10 weeks, the error would be plus or minus 3 days for a range of 7 days. ...Read more
What causes a fetus to be more active in some women more than others? Like pokes, kicks, rolls that can be seen on the outside.
Human nature: Each baby has its own personality. Some move a lot and some do not. This is true in utero just as it as after birth. Some people are couch potatoes and others are very active. The size of the mother is an issue as well. Fetal movements can be seen easier in very thin women compared to the very obese ...Read more
Blood test: First the mom is tested and if positive the father should be tested and a meeting with a genetic counselor should occur to discuss risks of CF on the baby and implications and choices. ...Read more

Could someone conceive in april but be only 7 weeks 4 days on june 18? Does the fetus grow that slow?
Time = time: If you count back 7 weeks and 4 days from june 18 you come up with april 25-26. In fetal growth a week is a week. Size discrepancies can occur for a number of reasons, but early on the process is rather consistent. ...Read more

Does cigarettes slow down growth at 7 weeks? Could you be 9 weeks and it affect the growth that the fetus measures at 7 weeks instead?

Hello sir. After waiting for over two months. My wife conceieved again. Sac is 10 weeks, but embro/fetus 7 weeks. Should I be very cocncerned?
You should have the: 18 week ultrasound to more accurately determine gestational age at that time. The bigger the fetus, the more accurate ultrasound measurement will be. At 7-10 weeks, it is simply too early to tell with a high degree of precision. ...Read more
I did an abortion but didn't bleed. The u/s showed 5weeks and 6days fetus and no heartbeat. Heartbeat would still be possible at 7 weeks and 4days?
If you had surgical (d;c)
abortion the pregnancy was missed. If you used Cytotec (misoprostol) to induce termination it was unsuccessful. If there is a heart beat at 7 weeks and 4 days either the first heartbeat was missed or a new pregnancy was conceived. The abortion unfortunately was unsuccessful. Contact your doctor. ...Read more

Healthy diet.: Human fetal growth relies on many factors, most of which are not modifiable (e.g. Genetic material, placental function). Some others are, namely healthy diet, avoidance of smoking cigarettes and euglycemia. The curve attached shows how the human fetus grows exponentially near the end of the pregnancy - so another thing you can do to help your fetus grow is to avoid stress and reach your due date. ...Read more
