More info needed: More information is needed about the location of the leg pain. Your injury appears to be a muscle contusion where it was struck. Another possibility is a leg muscle strain or a sprained ankle or knee. Extending the leg may aggravate all these injuries. Treat with rest, cold applications on and off for two days and then switch to intermittent heat. Advil or Aleve (naproxen) may help. See your MD as needed.
