Many possibilities: The right lower side of pelvis is where the appendix lies and this can get infected or twisted. Also this is a common area for kidney stone, gas distention or pain associated w hernia or urine infection. The only way to now for sure is with eval. It would be helpful to know other symptoms such as nausea / vomiting / diarrhea/constipation/painful urination/ blood in urine...Etc. Go see doctor. ...Read more

Where in your abdomen (right, mid, left) do you experience discomfort? Duration pain lasts? Is pain deep or superficial? Have you seen blood with stool or change in bowels? Need clarification : If the sharp pain was 6 hours after your delivery then it was a tonic contraction of uterus, it's when your uterine starts the process of shrinking back to the pre pregnancy size. At the same time the thick inside layer starts sloughing off and you start having the post partum bleeding. How are you doing after a week now? Did you discuss this with you ob? ...Read more
