What Does Pulmonic Valve Is Not Visualized Mean
A valve is a structure that regulates the direction of flow. The heart is a special kind of pump. It moves blood by squeezing and relaxing. There are 4 chambers and each chamber has a valve. This keeps blood from moving backwards when the heart squeezes. When a chamber squeezes it lets the blood move forward but when the chamber is relaxed it prevents the blood from ...Read more
Blood flow: Pulmonary regurgitation, is the backward flow of blood from the pulmonary artery, through the pulmonary valve, and into the right ventricle of the heart during diastole. While a small amount of pulmonic regurgitation may occur in healthy individuals, it is usually detectable only by an echocardiogram and is harmless. ...Read more

Is it ok if the pulmonic valve and the pulmonary artery were not well visualized in my echocardiogram if I had an abnormal ecg?
What was looking 4 ?: What was the doc looking for when he ordered the test? Discuss that with him and if appropriate the test can be redone. ...Read more
Had echo for murmur, says normal.Lists all valves except the pulmonary valve. Not mentioned anywhere. If pulmonic valve is norm, do they not put it on?
My echo results- trivial mitral valve regurgitation, mild (1+-2+) pulmonic valve regurgitation, trivial (-1+) tricuspid valve regurgitation- normal?
Missing Data: Some important data are missing before i can say normal. What is pa pressure. What about lv function etc. If they r normal then only i can comment on it sorry! ...Read more
Had a doppler echo for evaluation of murmur. Looking at report says aortic, mitral, and tricuspid valve normal. But is says nothing about the pulmonic valve. Nothing at all. This normal?
Most likely normal : The report should have commented on pulmonic valve as a standard practice. Sometimes pulmonic valve cannot be seen, but usually it is mentioned in the report. It is highly unlikely to have abnormal pulmonic valve and no comment made. Most cases pulmonic valves are normal. I check with your physician first, but would not loose sleep over it. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
HEART The mitral valve leaflets appeared thickened, there is a trace of tricuspid regurgitation & pulmonic valvular regurgitation. What does that mean?
Valve in the heart: The heart has 4 chambers. The right ventricle is the pumping chamber whic h pushes blood into the lungs so oxygen can be put into the blood. When the right ventricle squeezes, the pulmonary valve opens and blood flows into the lungs. When the right ventricle relaxes to fill, the pulmonary valve closes so blood can't flow backwards back into the heart. ...Read more
