Can lung cancer ever appear on an xray, be diagnosed as pneumonia and then not appear on two subsequent xrays or was it really pneumonia.

Pneumonia: Is shown on a chest x-ray as an area of "whiteness" in an area that would otherwise show normal "black" lung aeration. It could appear gray as well (just another appearance on the spectrum of black to white). If an X-ray state infiltrate, is the diagnosis pneumonia of should a culture and sensitivity be ordered? Could the infiltrate be something other like edema, blood clot and etc. So getting a sensitivity and culture be the thing to do? Infiltrate= need cult
Clinical dx: The DX of a pneumonia (pna) is based on clinical findings, confirmed by several lab findings which may also include a culture of sputum. In the community, most docs don't obtain a culture and will immediately treat with antibiotics (abx). No symptom of pneumonia but X-ray shows on right side a patchy alveolar infiltrates, rule out pneumonia.. What it could be as there is no symptom?
Many causes: Patchy infiltrates on chest xray are a non-specific finding that could be related to many different causes/conditions. In someone who is asymptomatic (like you), a detailed history, physical examination and further testing (if required) based on individual risk factors can help find the cause. My dad has pneumonia right now. He has medications to control the coughing but still it is persistent. Also a tortous aorta has been noted in his x ray. Would there be any serios risks? It's almost two weeks already.
