Lymphocyte 40.4 what does it mean?

Lymphocyte 40.4 what does it mean?

Depends on total: 40% lymphocytes on a differential count could indicate a lymphocytosis if your total WBC count is greater than 10 (10, 000). An absolute lymphocyte count of greater than 4000 is considered above reference range or elevated Read more

What does lymphocyte absolute mean?

What does lymphocyte absolute mean?

Total number: Total white blood cells (WBC) seen in a lab report is a total number obtained by adding all the different types of wbc- neutrophils, lymphocytes, basophils, eosinophils, so when labs report wbc; they first write down the different cells and their percentage of the total; and also the absolute number (which is more accurate); adding these numbers make up the wbc. What does it mean if there is lymphocyte enumeration, high cd19?

What does it mean if there is lymphocyte enumeration, high cd19?

Lots of B cells: A lymphocyte enumeration is a count of the lymphocytes in your blood. Lymphocytes primarily include t-cells, b-cells, and nk-cells. B-cells are identified by cd19, a marker on their surface. Have the doctor who ordered the test help you interpret the result. The number of b-cells (how how the cd19 count is), your age, blood vs bone marrow, and your symptoms help him/her interpret the results. Read more

My lymphocyte is 60 an it's supposed to be below 40. What does this result mean?

My lymphocyte is 60 an it's supposed to be below 40. What does this result mean?

See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, it would be helpful to have the full results from the blood cell counts. You may consult this site for general information on white blood cell counts. Http://www. Nlm. Nih. What do you suggest if my lymphocyte is 60 an it's soppose to be below 40. what does this mean?

Percentage?: Just ignore the percentage counts reported for your white cells. They fluctuate wildly. If the absolute counts are anywhere near reference range, and all the forms of the cells are normal, don't give it a second thought. Read more

My lymphocyte count is 0.91. what does this mean?

Nothing by itself: If you feel well and there are no bizarre cells, this is just something to follow. This is ever-so-slightly below most reference ranges, and these ranges are set so that a few percent of healthies fall outside on either end. Get another CBC next year. Read more

What does a low lymphocyte and high monocyte mean?

What does a low lymphocyte and high monocyte mean?

Depends: This depends upon what is abnormal. If the percentages of lymphs are low and monos high, it is likely that some stress has caused an increase of cortisol level, driving both of these changes. If the absolute levels of these cell types are abnormal, there could be a more serious infection or a bone marrow disorder that requires further investigation. Read more

What does it mean when the lymphocyte count is high? Is it good or bad? And why?

What does it mean when the lymphocyte count is high? Is it good or bad? And why?

Viral: Usually if we do a blood count for a person with an infection would look at the total white count as well as the differential. A high white count with a lotto neutrophils suggest bacterial infection whereas a white count with a lot of lymphocytes is more suggestive of ireland flexion. There is no value judgment per se whether it is good or bad. It is relative to the problem at hand. Read more

What does it mean when my absolute lymphocyte is high and my reactive lymph is 0%?

You could have had: A recent viral infection which boosted your lymphocyte count. See your doctor within a month and get a repeat CBC with differential. That will tell if your lymphocyte count has come down. If not, you need further evaluation Read more

There is cellular evidence of chronic lymphocytic cervicitis seen. What's that means?

There is cellular evidence of chronic lymphocytic cervicitis seen. What's that means?

HPV?: Hi. Lymphocytes are the white blood cells that respond to viral infection. I'm not a gyn, but as far as I know, there's no autoimmune cervicitis, so it probably heralds a viral infection. Have you been HPV tested? Talk with your gyn about the pap results and see if any further testing is indicated. Good luck! Read more

What do lymphocytic and myelogenous mean?

What do lymphocytic and myelogenous mean?

Type of cells: These terms are usually associated with leukemia. In simple terms here is an answer. The lymphocytic types are derived from lymph cell lines. The myelogenous cells are from the neurtrophil line and monocyte line. The treatment depends on the cell type. There are multiple sub-types of these leukemias, when more complex testing is done to the cells that are malignant. Read more

What does a high nuetraphil and low lymphocyte count mean?

What does a high nuetraphil and low lymphocyte count mean?

Both white bld cells: Blood is made up of red blood cells (too few=anemia), platelets (important in clotting) and white blood cells. Normal WBC count is 4-10, 000. Most wbc's are either neutrophils (60-70%) or lymphocytes (30-40%). High neutrophils count (and thus lower lymphocytes) often means a bacterial infection. High lymphocyte ct may mean virus infection. These, of course, are only generalities. Read more
