Other people report exacerbation of suicidal ideations along with depressed mood. In a situation like this the child should be evaluated by his/her pediatrician. Strep throat needs to be ruled out. To answer your question, allergies do not cause fever. More common causes of fever in children with the above symptoms are URI (upper respiratory infections, otitis media aka ear infections, and like I said strep throat.
