Sounds sciatic: It sounds like you have been having pain due to a disc problem that has likely herniated causing pain more localized to the side it herniated pinching a nerve creating pain down the leg. 90% get better non operatively. Working too hard: Your bmi likely is above 30. Excess weight will put more pressure on your extremities and back causing pain. Losing weight would definitely help. Yes the fact that Ur knee buckled could very well have caused a disruption of the repair. Don't push so hard!: 1st drink plenty of water to rehydrate. Then take it easy ie no exercise for next several days until you're better. Next time, don't push so far, so fast, so hard. Yes, you still need to exercise but not to that extent. In meantime, do stretch all your muscles, especially the sore ones. My: My biggest concern, especially considering your history of disc problems and sciatica as well as previous serious back injury would be that the buckling and strange painful leg sensations are due to ongoing and perhaps progressive nerve irritation/entrapment from your lower spine. While nonspecific, numbness or tingling may also be present with nerve damage. More serious signs of problems, necessitating immediate evaluation would include loss of bowel or bladder control.
