BP is OK: Your BP and pulse are in the normal range, so that is not worrisome. You might have labyrinthitis. Labyrinthitis is a condition that causes sudden dizziness and balance problems. People with this problem also feel sick and might throw up. Often, people feel very ill for a few days and then start to feel better. But sometimes, the symptoms last for weeks. Many factors can cause tinnitus/fullness-medications, wax build up, middle ear fluid, sensory hearing loss, noise trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, tmj, and much more. Examination: You probably have a wax impaction. This can loosened with a dissolving drug like Cerumenex and can be removed by direct inspection with a cerumen spoon or a water jet. Don't try to do it yourself as you're likely to force it and wedge it in ever farther. Vertigo is common with this and will subside after you're treated. ...Read more

Sometimes I hear blood rushing & feel pressure in both ears when I lay down. Also, I get dizzy from activities like ring around the rosy. Thoughts?

No not PROBABLY: Possibly....Yes?

But based upon your information--- not probably. First, what do you mean by dizziness? 2nd of all, antihypertensive meds as causing these symptoms is a very good thought on your part. AIED: Causes sensorineural hearing loss. In addition to complaints of hearing loss, nearly half of autoimmune sensorineural hearing loss patients report other vestibuloauditory symptoms including aural fullness, tinnitus, lightheadedness, and vertigo. I can't hardly hear out my right ear and its draining I am very dizzy and when I cough I almost faint should I go in or let it run its course?

See an ENT doctor: At the very least, you have a raging bacterial infection in you outer ear canal, medically called otitis externa. The "dizzy" symptoms are disconcerting to me because this indicates your may have a ruptured ear drum, and the infection has gained access to your inner ear, could damage three small bones located directly behind the ear drum, and has affected your balance center, called the labryinth. ...Read more

I had sudden hearing loss in r ear, dizzy, sick, num in arm and leg hosp said TIA test to follow. Can this happen again when waiting for tests?

Depends on cause: Sudden hearing loss, vertigo and nausea are a triad that occur with injury to the auditory nerve/inner ear. It is unlikely to be a TIA which implies blood clot in the brain. Severe sx are generally from injury directy to the nerve - viral infection is often the cause. The arm & leg should not be involved. If they are, TIA is more likely and could recur if not treated. (antiplatelet drugs or surg). ...Read more

You may be OK: Was there blood? ICan't know the extent of damage from what you're describing but I would advise you get to an ER at least for some pain relief and to just assess the integrity of the tympanic membrane. If it were me, I'd do it like that...then, they'll give you a name of an ENT to follow up with. Leave the qtips out of the shower and OUT OF YOUR EARS! Wanna talk? Www. Healthtap.
