Yes: Most mild alcohol withdrawal lasts 48 hours or less. If you have been drinking so heavily that you are still sick 2 or more days later, you are at risk for severe complications like dts, elevated blood pressure and other problems. See your doctor or go to an urgent care.

When I drink too much alcohol I start to shake, is this because of my medication escitalopram?

When I drink too much alcohol I start to shake, is this because of my medication escitalopram?

Sigh: You are on Lexapro (escitalopram) because you are depressed, and you are telling me you are drinking heavily! This is very bad for your depression and your overall health, and doesn't allow your medication to work. Talk to your doctor and get help! You should not be drinking even socially, let alone heavily. The shaking may indeed be a reaction to the combo. I am more concerned about ur drinking than shaking.

When I drink alcohol I shake really bad and throw up and I cannot sleep. Is this a type of alcohol alcohol poisoning?

When I drink alcohol I shake really bad and throw up and I cannot sleep. Is this a type of alcohol alcohol poisoning?

Intolerance: Several possibilities, including quantity of ingestion. Sounds like you experience stomach reaction to drinking alcohol and you likely have very low tolerance, which suggests avoidance of drinking would be quite stabilizing. Obviously, if you consume excessive amounts, you could approach acute alcohol toxicity, and "poisoning". Sounds like you are having complex issues. Talk to your doctor.

Why does drinking alcohol make some people mean?

'Filter' shut down: Alcohol anesthetizes some of the higher functions of the brain, including the one that 'filters' what we say and constrains what we do. This makes many less serious (the 'fun' / 'happy' drunks), but makes others brutally honest / 'mean' or downright angry. When sober, should address this pattern with your friend and discourage him/her from alcohol use due to its negative immediate effects on them.

What does it mean when the right lower part of your back hurts after drinking alcohol and you're on an antibiotic?

Likely unrelated: Depending on which antibiotic you are on and the reason you are taking them and how much you drank the pain you are experiencing is probably unrelated. However the area in your back that hurts is near your kidney and if you drank a lot and the antibiotic is metabolized/excreted through the kidney then you may be overworking them. Or it may be muscle strain. Best not to drink when taking any meds.

How long should I wait before drinking alcohol after taking Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl)? To be on the safe side, I mean 4-6+ drinks instead of just 1-2 drinks.

How long should I wait before drinking alcohol after taking Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl)? To be on the safe side, I mean 4-6+ drinks instead of just 1-2 drinks.

Don't: Presumably, you are taking flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) for muscle spasm. You shouldn't be drinking excessively if you are having muscle spasms because you will be making the medical condition worse that causes the spasm. Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) is meant to be used for short term use so get better first. If you have chronic pain then really you should quit alcohol as this habit will make your pain worse in the long run
