What Does It Mean When Infection Of The Uterus
Sister has uterus infection and says she may need an emergency DNC... What in the world does this mean and what's the cause?
Infections are invasions of some other organism (fungus, bacteria, parasite) or viruses into places where they do not belong. For instance, we have normal gut bacteria that live within us without causing problems; however, when those penetrate the bowel wall and enter the bloodstream, ...Read more
What could it mean that my removed iud (after 7mths) was found to have group b strep? Likely contamination or could I have an infection in my uterus?
IUD & Streptococcus: Streptococcus Group B can usually be found normally in the vagina. It can migrate up the IUD string and produce a Fallopian tube infection. If your MD has examined you and found that there isn't either a intra-uterine or tubal infection, then that is great. The IUD could have been contaminated at the time of tis' removal through the vagina if you don't have any evidence of infection. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

See answer: In most cases, a tipped, tilted, retroverted uterus is genetic and is perfectly normal but there are other factors that can cause the uterus to be tilted including: prior pelvic surgery, pelvic adhesions, endometriosis, fibroids, pelvic inflammatory disease, or pregnancy and the labor of childbirth. Not caused by vaginitis (bsv or yeast). ...Read more
What does constant discharge mean no STDs or bladder infection. Enlarged uterus tho and three months late for period and not pregnant?
See an OB/GYN: It sounds as if you are already seeing a doctor. If they are not an ob/gyn specialist would see one, and if they are, address these questions to them since they have examined you and have all your medical history available. If they do not answer your questions satisfactorily get a second opinion. Good luck. ...Read more

Can an HSG or Femvue test in someone with high colonies of Group B Step lead to an infection of the uterus? Is it dangerous for baby to get pregnant?
Group B strep: Group B strep can be a normal bacteria that colonizes the vagina in about 20% of women. Typically one would not screen for GBS prior to an HSG. Why am i still spotting and having cramps and nausea one week after ovulation? U/s shows fluid in uterus. No infection present.
Need more info: Usually fluid in the uterus implies blood. Not always, but often. If you aren't bleeding, then i'd wonder if you recently had a procedure that could have caused scarring of the cervical canal, preventing the blood/fluid from draining? Sometimes, ovulation isn't successful, and we get a persistent cyst that can be painful and leak fluid outside the uterus (they would have seen that on ultrasound). ...Read more
