Depends on symtoms: If you had a closed head injury, then I will assume that you had a ct of your head. If you are having persistent neurologic symptoms, then this needs to be reevaluated. Being 3 weeks out, if you are otherwise symptom free, I guess nothing else really needs to be done. Months: It can take a long time to heal torn ligaments, especially in areas like the back that you really can't give full rest to. Think of football players that get turf-toe and it bothers them the entire season - it's very similar. I would highly recommend physical therapy if not doing it.
