Can a borderline enlarged liver from fatty liver cause your muscles to hurt and ache?

Can a borderline enlarged liver from fatty liver cause your muscles to hurt and ache?

It is not likely..: Fatty liver by itself typically does not cause pain. Acute hepatitis--either from infection/alcohol/or drugs can cause pain, but you will have other symptoms as well. From knowing a bit of your history (you have lost 52lbs in 6 months and liver is only "borderline fatty"), i sincerely doubt the liver is the cause of your pain. Please consult doc for eval what else is causing your pain. Good luck. ...Read more

I was diagnosed with mild fatty liver with border line heptomegly per ultrasound . I am 38 f could this be beginning of cirrhosis?

Liver is enlarged: A liver biopsy can tell if you have increased risk of getting cirrhosis. Enlargement is not cirrhosis; cirrhotic livers are shrunken and scarred. The question to answer is do you have nash (inflammation of the liver caused by fat, and by definition, occurs in nondrinkers) or just fatty liver (steatosis) which would be lower risk. Maintain a healthy weight. ...Read more

Will a ultrasound detect cirrhosis? The us said I have mild fatty liver with borderline heptomegly. My enzymes are good . Iron is a bit low

This means you may need to back off a bit on your caloric restriction and/ or be mindful of the vigorousness of your exercise. Though it sounds like you are making great strides. ...Read more
