What Does It Mean To Have A Swollen Ureter

Ureters..: Ureters are usually straight tubes from your kidneys to your bladder. Tortuous means they are very curvy - kinda like those straws that swirl around. Hypotonic means they don't contract and move the urine down themselves very well. All this can mean the urine may not have the best route from kidney to bladder, and this can lead to urine backing up into the kidneys which can cause problems.See 2 more doctor answers
-mild hydronephrosis, right; up to mid-ureter -consider possible partially obstucting lucent ureterolithiasis. What it means?
Can doctors tell me what does mild fullness of left pelvicalyceal system and ectatic left ureter mean?
Kidney: This description is of your kidney and ureteral anatomy. A full explanation, which you deserve, is best given by a urologist who has the x-rays and can review the findings and their meanings with you.
What are the symptoms of ureter cancer. How is it detected, and where usually aches? Does the pain proclaimed due to blockage or by other mean?
Bleeding/Obstruction: Tumor in the ureter can cause obstruction of urine flow what will lead to pain. Bleeding in the urine is a common finding. Pain can be located anywhere in the abdomen or even in the back. A CT scan of the abdomen can easily detect the abnormality in the kidney or even in the ureter if the tumor growth is more advanced.
Fundus of Ureter is anteriorly oriented abutting the rectus abdominous muscle and is overlying the dome of the urinary bladder. What does this mean?
Normal...: Radiologist just describes the identifiable anatomical orientation of organs on imaging studies; In yours, that is with their normal variation. More? Ask your doctor timely at next visit to her/ him.
Does "prominent appearance of the right renal pelvis and ureter which measures 1cm" from renal ultrasound mean anything?
It could: When something blocks the drainage of urine from the kidney to the bladder, the renal pelvis and ureter dilate or blow up like a balloon. There is a range of normal, though, and some people have a bigger renal pelvis than others. If it is just "prominent" it may be normal. The more dilated, the more likely there is a real problem. Depending on your symptoms, it may require more testing.
A CT scan revealed that my right kidney and ureter were very enlarged. No kidney stones were found. What does this mean?
Ureteral obstruction: Causing ureter & kidney to swell. Stone obstruction excluded so blockage cound be at junction of ureter & bladder (uvj obstruction), ureteral sticture congenital or acquired, ovarian vein syndrome (ureter blocked by enlarged ovarian vein). Retroperitoneal fibrosis, mass pressing on ureter (would have been seen on ct). Need 2c urologist & mag 3 nuclear scan to quantitate obstruction & function.See 1 more doctor answer
Had Ultrasound. ..Prostatic calcification found. Ureter tube narrow...having frequent urination after drinking water...what's this mean...
Frequency: Your urinary frequency could be related to infection or inflammation in the kidney, bladder, prostate or urethra. Associated burning suggests infection. Prostatic calcifications raises the possibility of chronic prostatitis which may not be due to infection. A narrow ureter may cause retrograde problems with the kidney on that side. You need a urologist to properly evaluate and treat you.
Inflammation.: Lymph nodes are filters for fluid and debris coming from nearby body parts that is collected via lymphatic ducts. They are filled with immune system cells, lymphocytes and react to various processes from minor infections, irritations like rashes, up to serious malignancies. When the node enlarges, the immune system is dealing with one of these processes. Most of the time, it's something minor.See 2 more doctor answers
Needs exam: Lumps, bumps, blisters, swelling, ulcers and other skin changes on the genitals require an exam. A doctor would need to see what you are referring to to be able to make an assessment
See doctor: It means its time to see a doctor if it bothers you.
Yeast? Allergy?: It would be unusual for the vaginal area, labia, etc to swell up without also being itchy, painful, or irritated. Possibilities that come to mind include yeast infection, genital herpes, chemical irritation (e.g. from spermicide?), allergic reaction, e.g. to a drug, perfume, or laundry detergent. All these usually would hurt or be irritated, but sometimes not. Get care if it doesn't clear up soon.
Too little info: Without more information and without seeing your tongue, this question cannot be properly answered. You need to have this looked at by a dentist to get a proper answer.See 1 more doctor answer
