What can it be when you cough blood in mucus?

What can it be when you cough blood in mucus?

From 0 to 60----: It could be nothing OR it could be something. If you have risk factors for any type of lung cancer such as smoking, or inhalation of second hand smoke from those around you, work, etc. Then, this could be important. You should capture some mucus in a sterile jar 3 times and see if you can find any more blood and take that in to your doctor for analysis. Chest X-ray to be done as well.

I have been having a cough for more than a month now I sometimes get mucus, I also get the taste of blood what might it be?

A month of. ..: ...persistent cough is something that should be looked in to. Most often this is due to your airways being inflamed when they were fighting a virus. Sometimes this reactivity of your airways after an infection is the first sign you have asthma. The bit of blood may be a little blood vessel trauma from forceful coughing. It is time to see your doctor for an evaluation. Hope this helps; take care:)

I have a bad cough & blood came with mucus is it normal?

I have a bad cough & blood came with mucus is it normal?

See your doc: Small amounts of blood-tinged mucus can mean a bacterial infection. See your doc and get evaluated. More than a tbsp of blood is more worrying and, of course, if there is a lot more than that you should head to the Emergency Room. If you have shortness of breath, constant chest pain, (not just when you cough), or fever over 101 F, you need to go to the ER in that case, too. Hope you feel better!

Why wanna I cough up the mucus it's blood in it...I do have a cold?

Go to doctor: The blood could be from the back of the nose or the throat from small surface blood vessels that pop from the drying effect of the mucous but since I can't examine you, it is best to see your health practitioner to examine you and give you more peace of mind. More exams may be needed which can't be done here.

I have a bad flu and cold for a week, and now I had a cough. It was horrible because after 5 days of coughing I found blood in the mucus 3 days, ?

See your doctor: Problems like these can only be correctly handled by your doctor in person. He/she needs to listen to you, perform an examination and possibly run labs or other tests. That's the only way he/she can find out what's going on and what to do about it.

What cause of cough mucus blood from mouth?

What cause of cough mucus blood from mouth?

Cold: There are sources of blood, like the stomach, the lungs and the nose and posterior pharynx. In time of cold or upper respiratory infection, there is mucous which is thicker than the plasma. This draws the fluid from the blood vessels in the nose and the pharynx which are to the surface and they can pop and hence you cough up blood. If possible other causes, please go see your doctor.

Mild cough for several days, not very thick mucus, now considerable blood in mucus, 47 years old, weed smoker. Can I wait to see doc? Thanks!

Well...: You seem to have enough symptoms to warrant an examination. If you do have a fever you should see a Dr. Today. The prognosis of a pneumonia is directly related to how fast treatment is started. If you have a bronchitis, it could wait till tomorrow. And the again, why wait, you could be on your way to recovery faster
