What Does It Mean If Your Stool Looks Greasy
I find if i eat lots of chips and fries, my stool looks kind of greasy for the next few days.Doesn't normally look like this. What causes this?
Fat/grease: Possibly, the types of foods you mention, are high in fats. Essentially, what goes in your mouth, defines what will come out the other end in time. So, it is important to eat healthy, and then your stools would be "healthy" as well. Good luck, eat well! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
What does it mean to have stool that looks like powder is very loose and smells bad? I've been experiencing this for months now....
Hard to visualize?: To describe your stool as looking like powder and being loose is a little confusing...looseness often suggests watery. Perhaps you mean the powder isn't sticking together! My general thought is that your stool is too dry...you are not drinking enough fluids, especially water, or stool is passing very quickly through your intestine so it doesn't absorb. Try increasing water (a lot!). Then, to Doc:) ...Read more
Dark-colored stool: Dark-colored stools may result from iron supplements, foods you eat (like a lot of spinach), substances (like peptobismol), but most significantly suggests bleeding. When blood is denatured by acid in your stomach, as from ulcers, stools will turn tarry ("melena"). Blood may also be ingested from nose bleeds, bleeding gums. Silver-colored stool suggests bleeding from the biliary tree. Get checked. ...Read more

Pinkish stool after chronic constipation. What could this mean? At times almost looks like consistency of vomit.
Some type of blood: The color "pink" from the rectum strongly suggests blood of some sort. I presume that there could have been some straining trying to defecate when constipated. This could cause a tear or fissure in the anus, or tear of the rectal lining. The blood would be "pinkish" and have the consistency of vomit when mixed with normal mucus in bowel. This needs evaluation ...see your doctor. ...Read more

I take bcaa supple. But seems to give me more frequent bowel move. Does it mean i'm not digesting efficiently? Should i stop taking them? Bm looks like food sometimes instead of feces.
Not necessarily: Digestive efficiency is sometimes difficult to quantify. Bcaa aren't bad if you can afford them. Most likely you have an intolerance to one of the components, much like many people do who take larger quantities of l-arginine. Sometimes adding a digestive enzyme complex with your meals and supplements helps with better assimilation. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
What does it mean if your stool is green? Is there any make concerns or anything to be worried about?
Bile: The greenish color in stool is the breakdown product of the bile when it has not been in the gut long enough to go through a change to yellowish or brown. It is normal as is the loose consistency. Some digested material will take on a darker tint than others ; the germs in the gut will also impact the final product. I'd ignore the whole issue. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
