An unusual response.: Questions you might ask yourself: is sex enjoyable and you still feel nauseated afterwards? Do you have any gyn problems? Are you currently pregnant? Uncertain: Some of my response is speculation. There are probably a # of possible reasons for nausea associated w sexual intercourse. Some women report nausea w deeper penile penetration ;/or rough sex. In this situation there may be pain which could trigger nausea. Indigestion ; acid reflux might be causative. Prostaglandins could play a role. In some situations – nausea or vomiting could be psychological.
Probably normal: Intercourse can involve the cervix, depending upon positions used. Occasionally this will create areas of bleeding especially near the opening on the cervix where the inner lining of the cervix is visible on the surface. Red blood will turn brown if it remains in the vagina (like when you're sleeping) and it will discharge in that color. Bright red continuous bleeding is the warning sign.
Female? Uncertain.: Some of my response is speculation. There are probably a # of possible reasons for nausea associated w sexual intercourse. Some women report nausea w deeper penile penetration ;/or rough sex. In this situation there may be pain which could trigger nausea. Indigestion ; acid reflux might be causative. Blood=tissue injury: The basic answer is bleeding represents tissue injury which should not be part of regular sexual activities. It could represent a minor tear in a small area or a scratch that is oozing. If it is minimal and stops quickly it may self heal. If it is a recurrent predictable occurrence it needs to have this evaluated by a physician.
Need eval: There are many possible causes- including infections, uterine overgrowth, fibroids, cervical polyps and in extreme cases malignancy. The older you are -- the greater the concern for something more serious- thus you should see doctor for evaluation.
Friable Cervix: Infection, irritation or injury of the cervix.
Unknown: Bleeding after sex can be benign or it can be a sign of bigger problems. If you have a yeast infection, the cervix can bleed easily from sex and you may have no other symptoms. The same can occur with some std's, such as chlamydia. Benign conditions such as nabothian cysts or ectropian can be responsible, but serious conditions such as cervical, uterine, or vaginal cancer could be responsible.
