Can you tell me what can this mean when your blood work tests show negative for RA but still shows inflammation?
What could be wrong if my inflammation markers are high. I've had like 3 different sets of blood work done & they've been high each time.
Injury, infection &: Your body can get inflamed due to injury, infection and/or allergies. Inflammatory markers tell us there's a needle in the haystack but they don't tell us where. So it's our job to question you regarding the possible causes. If you can't think of any, then we worry about an increase risk of heart disease. But since you're young, ask your doc why s/he ordered them in first place. Could be just gum. Read more

Going for routine blood work would a swollen tendon (TENNIS ELBOW) cause my cbc and wbc /differential to be abnormal since there is inflamation?
Likely normal: All lab results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the test is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, your basophil count is at the upper end of normal range. In itself it does not mean much. The count may be increased in some allergies. It would have been helpful to have complete report. Read more

Nothing: If you're otherwise healthy, this never means anything. It can be useful in certain settings grouped with other lab values, but even for these it's moot thanks to today's gene testing. Read more
Follow up appt: To get the best evaluation, have a follow up appointment with your doctor to discuss test results.
