What Does Implantation Bleeding Smell Like
One common meaning refers to the process by which an embryo attaches to the uterus of a woman so that she is pregnant. Many think of it as 'sticking.' implantation in humans always occurs when the embryo is between 6-7 days old. A very popular concept on the internet now in 2012, 'implantation bleeding, ' is speculative ...Read more
iud out Feb 5, 15. Had a cycle on 9-13. Then had what I thought was implantation bleeding. Followed by severe pg symptoms dreams, smells, etc..
How long after possible implantation bleeding should a hpt show up positive, it's the first bleeding post partum so I have no cycle to go on. And why would the spotting stop for 12 hours then start back up only to be pink and smell like lochia?
1 week late: Home pregnancy tests become positive at about the time when you're one week late.
Implantation: Implantation bleeding occurs starting around the time of the missed period and for perhaps a week or two after that. It is usually spotting or light bleeding, less than a usual period, and may last several days. Less than a quarter of women when they get pregnant have implantation bleeding so no worries if you don't experience it. It can be confused with a light period or with miscarriage.
Can I get implantation bleeding 4 days after sex and is it implantation bleeding as there is only a little bit of what looks like brown blood?
No: Implantation would occir 12-14 days after the start of your cycle. I suggest GYN evaluation.
Implantation bleed: Implantation bleeding happens 6-7 days after ovulation. Ovulation for mos women happens between days 12-16 from the first day of the period, on average 14 days. Therefore implantation bleeding can occur sometime between day 18 at the earliest and 22 at the latest (days 19-20 for most women). Of course there are exceptions but this applies to most regularly menstruating women.
I'd ignore it: Implantation bleeding' is subtle and unpredictable, if it can be interpreted at all. Internet buzz vastly over-emphasizes the idea of 'implantation bleeding' and how useful a predictor it is. If it did happen it absolutely could not be before 7 dpo.
Yes: Three to seven days post conception is the prime time to have implantation bleeding. Some bleeding will occur in about 25% of pregnancies, including normal pregnancies. If you develop severe pain or a marked increase in bleeding, call your OB. Hope this helps!
Not usually: Implantation bleeding, if and when it happens at all, is not usually heavy. I'd look for another cause.
Likely breakthrough: It's almost never implantation bleeding, that is largely an internet myth. If - a big if - you actually get implantation bleed it would be about 7 days after ovulation, or about a week before your expected period.
Can be: It is usually light. This could be due to implantation if you are in fact pregnant.
I'd ignore it: 'implantation bleeding' is subtle and unpredictable, if it can be interpreted at all. Internet gossip over-emphasizes the idea of 'implantation bleeding.' Implantation begins 6-7 days after fertilization, so that's the only time you would see it. Non-medical people sometimes refer to any early pregnancy bleeding as implantation bleeding, but this is not a defined medical term.
