Should i be concerned if my blood test ldh is 308(103--227) it is elevated. What does it mean?

Many possibilities: The website given below provides a list of causes of elevated ldh. However, it may be elevated if you exercised before the blood test. All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that.

See doctor wi report: His blood tests showed hemoglobin to be normal which is good. Platelets being high is not uncommon but main question wld be how high &what are the ranges in the lab u had tests done. So we need the actual report to be able to comment. Eosinophils being high may SUGGEST allergy or a mild atopic dermatitis or a harbinger of impending allergy. See his doctor&discuss all with him- will guide u better. ...Read more

Does low lymph mean u have aids my blood test said mine was 8low. Wbc is 15.3h plts 142low. Bun 6 low cr 0.48low gluc116 ca7.9 everything else normal.

Maybe infection,,,: From your information, it looks like you've got infection. Your white count is high and that is a very telling sign of infection which could be a complication of your endometriosis. You'd need an aids test and would have other general signs like long standing fever and not necessarily abdominal pain and wouldn't have such a high white count for aids. Best of luck. ...Read more

Hi I recently had a blood test and my PLT count was 51K (172 in feb) and my MPV was 11.6fl. Everything else was pretty normal. Should I be concerned?

Bleeding risk: Platelets are important to initiate blood clotting. With a count of 50,000 your time to stop bleeding will be twice that of normal. By itself that's not very dangerous, but should be monitored. The cause of low platelets are infections, drugs, auto-immune reactions, and blood or bone marrow diseases. It needs further evaluation if follow up counts show it getting worse. ...Read more

Hi im pregnant 28 week my blood test respons (PLT=127)is low in the normal range dangerous for me or baby ?

No: An isolated platelet count of 127 is not dangerous for you or your baby. Your doc will probably re-check it at some point. If you also had high blood pressure or other abnormal results such as elevated liver enzymes, I would be more worried. Best wishes! ...Read more

Don't do this: You're almost a grown man. I'm going to assume that hemoglobin is 16.6 g/dl, hematocrit 51% platelets 218, 000 in the units that most of us use. There are fine. There's no need for you to obsess over labs like this. Relax, and be thankful for good health. ...Read more

What does high gra# and high gra% mean on a blood test?

Granulocytes: Granulocytes are mostly neutrophils, the cells that are most lethal most quickly to bacteria. Ignore the percentages. Look to see if the absolute numbers # are high or low. What does "above high normal" mean on a blood test?

What does "above high normal" mean on a blood test?

Numbers are numbers: Numbers are just numbers, so the significance of them must be looked at in the context of a patient's real-life situation. From a purely numbers point of view, "above high normal" usually means that only ~3% of the NORMAL people in the community get that test result, and the other 97% of the NORMAL people in the community would get a lower result. Some people with a "mildly high" are not normal. ...Read more
