What means if my hCG levels are 87500? I had a scan last week and they just saw the sac, how far am i??

What means if my hCG levels are 87500? I had a scan last week and they just saw the sac, how far am i??

Worrisome...: An empty sac with HCG levels of 87500 is worrisome. With HCG levels this high, you should at least see a fetal pole and a heart-beat. Make sure you see your Ob and find out what is going on. I don't have enough information to tell you. Its hard to know how far along you are from just the HCG level. ...Read more

My hCG level is 62.8 at 4weeks 3 days what does this mean?

Wrong dates: The most likely answer is wrong dates: 62.8 is too low to match with 4w3d. Cautiously, you could also see this with an abnormal pregnancy when dates are correct. Best of luck! ...Read more

See below: This is a strange interval for serial HCG measurements. The lack of change in the last two measurements tht are a day apart is concerning. I would recommend a follow up level at 48 hours. ...Read more

I went in on Aug 9th and my hcg levels were 138. I went back Aug 18th and they were only 552 does that mean I'm going to miscarry?

I went in on Aug 9th and my hcg levels were 138. I went back Aug 18th and they were only 552 does that mean I'm going to miscarry?

Normal pregnancy: The hcg rise went from 138 to 552 over a nine days period which does not appear as a normal rise. The hcg will double every two days in a normal pregnancy. Please continue to follow the hcg and if it reaches 2200, get a transvaginal ultrasound to confirm pregnancy.
However if the hcg is stagnant or continue to fall, it means you have a failed pregancy and you will need to talk with your doctor. ...Read more

6weeks hcg levels still rising but no sign of baby. Also I've got 2rhogam shots in less than a week and lots of bleeding wat could this mean ?

Unclear diagnoses: Rising betaHCG levels particularly in very early pregnancy, need to be correlated with accurate gestational age and sonographic findings in order to reach a clear diagnosis and answer your questions and concern. At 6 wks , there may be a small embryo which is not called a fetus or a baby. Your obstetrical team should be able to tell you what is going on and offer you some sense of direction. ...Read more

What can I do if my hCG level is 4725! and im only 4wks, does that mean i could be having twins?

No: The only thing about an HCG level is that the absolute number isn't the most important thing. Usually the lab is repeated after 48 hours at least once to determine if the level is increasing appropriately. It should double every 48 hours but can still be normal is it goes up less than that. ...Read more

I had a 6 week period and now my hcg levels went from 5.9 to 6.7 in three days. What could this mean?

Need to repeat test: HCG level of less than five occurs in non-pregnant state. A level above 25 indicates pregnancy. In between requires retesting in 4-5 days. You do not necessarily need to repeat the blood test. You may do home pregnancy test. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine. ...Read more

My hCG level is at bit high on 12th week of pregnancy. What does tht mean. Do i need to worry abt it?

Need an ultrasound: If you beta HCG is elevated, it may be normal or a sign of problems. A dramatically elevated HCG can be a "molar" pregnancy, which is a very abnormal placenta, usually without a fetus. This would be seen with ultrasound, twins will cause an elevated hcg. Sometimes fetal or placental problems can cause an elevated hcg, and again a detailed ultrasound would evaluate this. ...Read more
