What Does Dna Ds Ab High Avidity Meaning
What's the difference between the sjorgren ssa / ssb antibodies? Is a level of 2.7 for the ssb antibody high? Normal is 0-0.9. Also ANA pos/ ds DNA 6.
Autoantibodies : Directed against ro/ssa and la/ssb auto antigens were originally identified in patients with sjogren's and lupus. But can be present in others autoimmune diseases. Ro/ssa and la/ssb are different intracellular autoantigens from extractable nuclear antigens. Which are soluble cytoplasmic and nuclear components. You have an autoimmune disease. I have a positive DNA (DS) antibody test and a negative ANA test. Segmented Neutrophils high and Lymphocytes low. Extreme fatigue, no malar rash.
Elevated EBV ab VCA IgG <8 and EBV nucleaer antigen ab IgG test 4.2. & anti-dna(ss)igg ab qn ( 119)& c react protien(5.6) what are implications?
Nothing.: Ebv antibodies indicate you had a previous infection, but not active. The c-reactive protein needs a units indicator - that is either normal or somewhat elevated. The anti ss dna is extremely nonspecific and very rarely indicated; I have no idea why that was ordered, discuss with your doctor. ...Read more

Do all or most blacks get high unassigned levels on 23andme dna ancestry test at the 90% confidence level? I did. Is this common for blacks?
Uncertain: Your best bet is to ask the site what type of genetic material they have. This is how they develop the profile. Your suggestion sounds like it is valid but it is best to ask the source. ...Read more
Auto-Immune Disorder: I think what you are asking is "elevation of anti-bodies to single strand dna". This means that you body is producing antibodies to specifically target proteins found throughout your body. This is process scene in some common rheumatologic disorders. I would suggest that since you are on Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) you physician is already aware of this or at least had the correct suspicion. ...Read more
What are implications anti-DNA ss(119) elevated c reactive, imuglobulin e (3215) and elevated SED rate ?
My cousin was diagosmed with advamced level muscle dystrophy CPK levels were very high and DNA result gave the answer what now what is the cure ?
What is the probability of transmitting high risk cervical hpv if my hpv dna has been negative for the last five years?
Never always/never: The HPV family of viruses is well known for their ability to clear an initial infection & hibernate indefinitely within your body. Most clear & never shed virus (contagious), but some do. If & when they do it would be erratic & not necessarily evident on random tests. In medicine we are cautious about using the terms always or never, too many exceptions. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I'm having negative DNA ,Sm and Rnp antibodies, but positive sm/rnp antibody, and high ANA titre speckled,so what is the diagnosis ?
Lupus: These serologies are rather non specific. The speckled ANA is non specific. In Systemic Lupus Erythematosis (SLE) it is usually homogeneous in its staining. Anti-Sm and Anti RNP can be see in mixed connective-tissue diseases and overlaps with SLE, scleroderma and myositis. As often is the case a specific diagnosis cannot be made. You need to see a Rheumatologist. ...Read more
Is a high swab vaginal herpes DNA test result reliable? (Without leison) Do I need another blood test to reconfirm?
Not reliable: Any single swab test for HSV only shows the virus was not present at that moment. Even in people with proved genital HSV2 infection, virus typically is detectable less than 20% of the time; for HSV1 it's under 1% of the time. So this test doesn't show whether or not you have genital herpes. A blood test can help: if positive for HSV2, you have genital herpes, regardless of swab test results. ...Read more
5 years of unbearable muscle leg pain. Lots of meds prescribed to try to help relieve the pain but no relief. CPK is high. Can a DNA test help?
If your CPK-MM is: elevated (that's the portion of CPK that comes from skeletal muscle), then a much more worthwhile initial test is a muscle biopsy. Depending on the results of the muscle biopsy, genetic testing (including mitochondrial DNA) may be done to confirm certain diagnoses. Unfortunately, treatment hasn't kept up with diagnosis in many genetic disorders. Best wishes. Dr. Anne ...Read more
Why PCR isnt good test for HIV diagnosis? Is it high Cost or low Accuracy?
PCR RNA is better or DNA @ 6 mnth?
Neg 3 DNA & 1 RNA PCR are 100% accurate?
I had sex.Used condom.I am in a very high stress. Its 7 week since exoosure .I want to get accurate result, RNA pcr, DNA PCR be conducted cost no issue?
I had a recent high risk exposure. At 5 weeks i did the HIV antibody test and at 7 weeks the PCR DNA test both came back negative is this conclusive?
Retest: According to the guidelines, following exposure, one may not convert to hiv+ for up to 6 months. It's a good sign that both these test have been negative so far and retesting every 3 months for antibody would be relatively inexpensive. Take precautions when engaging in any high risk activity. Had DNA PCR Stool test. It showed high level of Candida (ablicans tropicalis). ref range was 0-5000, my level was 8730. Also had High SIgA 1 ref range was 0-1000, my level was >5000. My SIgA 2 was 3271.73 Is this a serious Candida overgrowth issue?
Candida "overtrowth": I'm afraid you have been induced into some tests (probably expensive) that are entirely unnecessary and do not explain any symptoms you may have. Candida "overgrowth" or "systemic candidiasis" is an urban myth. Candida is normal on the skin and in the intestines and genital tract. Disregard these test results and see your doctor about any symptoms or health concerns that you have. Good luck! ...Read more
