Depends on severity: But, no - it isn't common just due to pregnancy. Drink water regularly - at least 8-10 8oz glasses a day. Maybe eat a few prunes or drink some prune juice for a few days. Drink Water -lots: Common problem in pregnancy - drink ~1 gallon of water in a day; eat more roughage. Can take stool softeners as well; or even MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) if the above do not help. For acidity - antacid first line; but avoid the calcium ones as will worsen constipation. Take magnesium based antacids. Or ask your doctor for proton pump inhibitor - just separate from your vits by 4 hrs at least. ...Read more
