Rectal bleeding: Blood and mucus from the anus is not normal. It may indicate colitis, either infectious or other. Hemorrhoids may bleed but there is no mucoid discharge. It sounds like you would benefit from a sigmoidoscopy/colonoscopy.

My anus itches. I have anal mucus. I get nauseous twice a week. My feces are inconsistent shapes. My weight is fluctuations rapidly. Acid reflux?

Proctocolitis?: Acid reflux has nothing to do with this. Sounds like rectal or colon inflammation (proctocolitis). Maybe worse-than-usual irritable bowel syndrome, but it's also possible you have inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis), celiac disease, or other serious intestinal problem. If you're gay and have had anal sex, STDs are possible. See your doctor or a gastroenterologist soon.

The: The intestine produce mucus which is excreted with fecal matter, however excretion of large amounts of mucus or 'blobs' is abnormal. Large amounts of mucus when having a bowel movement can be attributed to a few causitive factors: 1. A bacterial infection or sexually transmitted disease in the anal or GI tract 2. Onset or manifestation of irritable bowel syndrome, crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. These conditions are diagnosed by a doctor and require treatment. 3. Proctitis, inflammation of the anus as a result of infection or medical treatment such as radiation. It is important that you make an appointment with your doctor so that that causing factor can be identified and treated.
