What Does An Abnormal Ultrasound Look Like
Ultrasound +/- 8%: Properly performed and interpreted ultrasound examinations have a variability of 8% plus or minus the measured dating. Ultrasound dating at 11 weeks 0 days should have a 95% confidence range of 9 weeks 6 days to 12 weeks 1day which is +/- 8%. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

In addition to diagnostic uses, such as evaluating abnormalities in the abdomen, pelvis, and breast, ultrasounds are commonly used to guide needle and catheter placement in a variety of surgical ...Read more

If it is suspicious (BIRADS 4 or 5), biopsy would be indicated. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
