The blood is first filtered by the kidneys, and the composition of the resulting fluid is then altered depending on the body's needs. It is composed of mostly water, and breakdown products from blood cells impart ...Read more

Had urine culture three weeks ago showed no growth had another one last week it showed yeast infection Why do both show high levels of WBC?

Leukocytes in urine: WBCs are present in response to almost any form of inflammation. It sounds as if you have a UTI if the urine was collected by a clean midstream catch. If not, the yeast may have present in the urine through contamination from the vaginal secretions and if you have Candida vulvovaginitis that is probably the explanation. Hope this helps.

I have no signs of a yeast infection but my urine smells like yeast. Is it because of the valacyclovir and camrese?

I have no signs of a yeast infection but my urine smells like yeast. Is it because of the valacyclovir and camrese?

Maybe: Medications can often cause the urine to have a slightly different odor. Unless you are having urinary tract infection symptoms then a temporary change in urine odor is not likely to be important.

Will a yeast infection have any affect on your urine?

Possibly: If you are a woman with yeast vaginitis the yeast may grow in the urine culture and be seen on the urinalysis.

Can a yeast infection in men effect your urine & only passing a tiny bit?

Yeast is unlikely: Symptoms like this almost never are due to yeast. It sounds like you have a prostate problem, or maybe a bacterial urinary tract infection. Conceivably an STD like gonorrhea, chlamydia, or nongonococcal urethritis (NGU), but these are relatively uncommon at your age. My bet is on prostatitis. See your doctor or urologist; or start with one of UK's excellent NHS GUM clinics.

Once every several days my urine is a little cloudy. I don't have simptoms of UTI or yeast infection.

Once every several days my urine is a little cloudy. I don't have simptoms of UTI or yeast infection.

Young people have: Small amounts of protein that can look like white strands in the urine, often making it look cloudy. Asymptomatic microproteinuria is usually harmless and transient in young growing adults, but older adults should not have proteinuria. If you have no symptoms, I would not be too preoccupied with your urine, unless you see blood or pink tinge, or if you have itching/ pain on urination etc.

I had a trace of protein in my urine, but I also have a yeast infection. Can a yeast infection cause this trace of protein?

Yes and no: If the urine also showed epithelial cells and white blood cells, then it is contaminated and the protein could be from that. If it is a clean, properly collected urine specimen then a vaginal yeast infection would not cause a change in the urine protein. Get it rechecked after you clear up the infection.

I had a lil blood in my urine I just got over a bad yeast infection an a uti not sure why I still have blood in my urine?

Most common cause: Of blood in urine is infection, but it could be from stones or rarely from tumor or cancer. You should discuss with your doctor if any further tests beyond urine testing is advisable.

Can my yeast infection cream make my urine cloudy?

Can my yeast infection cream make my urine cloudy?

It could: Vaginal discharge can get mixed with urine and affect its appearance. But if your having urinary symptoms such as urge to go, need to go frequently or pain with urination, you might have a urinary tract infection that should be checked out.

How long will it take to confirm a yeast infection........vulval swabbing vs a urine test? Which one has the potential to be the quickest?

Office testing: Urine is not the way to detect a vaginal yeast infection. It can be detected through a physical exam immediately. Rarely is a culture needed.

When' leukocytes are found in urine could it alsi be a yeast infection?

When' leukocytes are found in urine could it alsi be a yeast infection?

Urine leukocytes: Leukocytes will be present due to inflammation somewhere in the urinary tract. If you have a UTI they may be present, or if the urine is not collected by a clean midstream catch the leukocytes may be present from vaginal secretions contaminating the urine.

Does having a yeast infection cause you to have some what cloudy urine? I don't have UTI symptoms.

Does having a yeast infection cause you to have some what cloudy urine? I don't have UTI symptoms.

See answer: Vaginal yeast infection usually associated with whitish vaginal discharge, redness, vaginal irritation/burning/itching. If discharge mixes with the urine after leaving the bladder then may give contaminated urine a cloudy appearance. Urine, on the other hand, may normally vary from clear to cloudy depending on the effect of diet on urine ph: if too acid or alkaline causes precipitation of sediment.
