What Does A 8 Week Old Fetus Look Like
Am i causing harm to the 8wk old fetus by continuing to take ptu (propylthiouracil) if my TSH is 0.10 and my free T4 is 1.4?
Dose adjusted: During pregnancy, your thyroid activity can fluctuate and has to be adjusted by your md. It does cross the placenta and affect the fetus, hence dose adjustment necessary. On the other hand if you stop your medicine, you can encounter severe problems to you and your fetus and worst is thyroid storm. So talk to your md and leave the adjustment to them, please. ...Read more
Google it: Why don't you go to www.Google. Com and type in 7 week fetus and then look under images. That will get you a lot farther than any description I can provide. On ultrasound at 7 weeks it looks like a shadowy grey tube with 4 little arm buds, a yolk sac and maybe one can see an amniotic sac as well. ...Read more

Durning my first ultra sound there is no heartbeat or fetus, I am about at 7 weeks, what's happening? I am 20 years old and very healthy
Hi. : Hi. This clearly is concerning for you. If it was a transvaginal ultrasound, a gestational sac might be visible at 5 weeks of gestation and the yolk sac would be seen shortly thereafter. Using the same type of ultrasound the fetal pole is often seen about 5 ½ to 6 ½ weeks. There might be a fetal heartbeat at that time. If there isnât a heartbeat and the fetal pole is not seen, the transvaginal ultrasound can be repeated in 3 to 7 days. By week 7, a heartbeat would be expected. You need to ask your doctor for an interpretation of the ultrasound results. Causes could be that the conception dates are off, a miscarriage, a blighted ovum or an ectopic pregnancy. Take care. ...Read more
