What Does A 2 Month Old Fetus Look Like
My 6 1/2 mo old ped. Felt his anterior fontanel but says that it might be closing early than usual. Should I be worried? Or is this normal @ his age?
Follow closely..: It is a bit early for the skull to fuse, but unless he has had a head MRI or ct to assess exactly how open or closed they are, I would not panic. If his head shape is normal and symmetric, if head size is increasing along appropriate percentiles, development is normal, then I would put my mind at ease. However, these parameters, including head size and shape, need to be monitored monthly for now.
Diagnoses for craniosyntosis or positional on my 2 month old. I've had two dr tell me one of each. How can I tell which my son has?
Depends: In most, a simple exam will show ridging of the sutures if synostosis and not if not. Some get x-rays to boost their there accuracy but the specialists at the craniofacial center in Dallas consider it a waste of time. They label based on exam and proceed with more specific studies if needed. Sounds like you need a 3rd opinion.See 1 more doctor answer
My 2-month old is spitting up after every feeding for the past two days. Do I need to be concerned?
Depends: Most babies spit up, a process called reflux. This tends to increase from birth to peak about 4 months and declines significantly as they learn to sit up. If the amount is minimal and the kid is thriving otherwise (normal diaper count, vigorous at feeds and play) you can just watch it. If the kid appears tired, feedings fall off, or baby develops a lot of fussiness, have it checked outSee 1 more doctor answer
Is it normal for my 2 month old breast fed baby to poop for a few days then not for a day or two on a consistant basis?
Yes: As long as stools are soft/mushy/liquidy when the baby does poop, the pattern you describe is perfectly normal. Some babies are just so efficient at digesting their mom's milk that they may not make a lot of waste product (poop), so don't stool as often. Many breast fed babies give little runny skid marks with each feed. Consistency of the poop matters, not frequency.
My 5 month old daughter has two small cysts in her gums. I asked her previous pediatrician and he said that was because her teeth were forming but she been with it since she was 2 months old. Is that normal or something I should be concerned?
Cysts: This is common in this age group and they should subside as she grows older

I'm currently 10wks pregnant, will it harm my growing fetus to continue nursing my 7 month old son?
No: No harm, continue breastfeed. Eat and drink well though.
What is the risk to fetus who is six month old if pregnant mother is getting mad and fighting and shouting to husband. No physical fights but scream?
Hard to measure: It is known that excessive amounts of stress in pregnancy can increase the risk of preterm delivery, low birth weight, and possibly affect the child's brain development later in childhood but no one really knows how much stress is 'too much'. It doesn't sound like your situation is an 'excessive amount of stress', but would be better for your baby & you, if you could dec. It with exercise, medita.See 1 more doctor answer
Progress: Vaccines are given first when the baby is old enough for them to work. The number reflects decades of work developing the vaccines and more combining them. Sometimes we can give some combination vaccines and reduce the total number of sticks. Unfortunately, the germs we are protecting against are often the most lethal in early infancy. Any delay could be deadly.
No-not good idea: With all the people around-you don't know what viral diseases they have-the infant/you could get sick. Infants have impaired immunity. If you don't have to take baby-don't until the infant is older-say 6mos-yr.See 1 more doctor answer
Wow! Almost anything!: There's huge variation of possible sizes for a 2 month old--all genetically predetermined; although nutrition may influence some. Go to the website "www. Cdc. Gov"; type "growth charts" in the search box in the right upper corner of this webpage; click thru the menus until seeing age appropriate charts. Then select boy or girl. The 50th %tile could be called "average"; but normal is 5th-85th %tile.
Whatever he wants: Normal, healthy, growing babies eat whatever amount they want to eat, night or day. Avoid feeding during the night, after age 3 months. If he stops eating at night before then, don't wake him up at night. Avoid counting how much is eaten. In nature, babies breastfeed, so the amount they eat is unknown, and not looked at. We calculate the amount eaten ONLY if a baby is sick or not growing right.
Is there any safe meds for a 2 month old to take for pain? She's not allergic to anything that we know of.
